It's bizarre.

I've already asked someone to post the damn thing! My copy of Arrival is somewhere up in the loft....

NO Matty. I started a thread about MELODIC rock. Are u now saying SOFT rock & MELODIC rock are one & the same b/c we'll have to agree to differ on that one too.

Well, melodic rock isn't hard rock, is it? So therefore....

U mean "he's lost". Even Niggy thought u'd lost it.

What do you mean "even Niggy"?

The first thing NIG ever said to me was: "Troll". The second was: "Dude, you give me the creeps."

No Cain's got his real lettuce.

Soul patch is that little facial hair (like thumnail size) musicians and ballplayers had working in the late 90s early 00s. Cain's ALWAYS up on those trends (ROR smock, BE Hairspray and makeup, long foppish mane in '96).

No he said the one on Amazon was bullshit. Can u even fucking read? Here's his definition:

"Rock songs with an emphasis on melody, some rockers, some ballads.....but all MELODIC yet powerful. Not too heavy, not too light."

Get it that time?

Oh...I must have been confused by the line you edited out from that quote:

"Lots of stuff like metal, classic rock, AOR and hard rock is feautured here but the music that for me definies the term is stuff like JSS Prism, Harem Scarem, Eric Martin, Toto, Mike Tramp, Pride Of Lions etc... "

In other words...it doesn't include hard rock. As I've just said.

Or do u just mean "real" in terms of it being transplanted from some other part of his body?

I see. The offer from the major label isn't our business - but this is?

Granite. Now THAT'S hard rock. Marble is pretty hard, too but I'm partial to Blue Stone.

Obviously I'm not much good at motivating you, either.

Maybe there's something up there in the loft that you fear...? Is that the place where you learned that JC didn't love you as much as you love him...?

I'd say that Toto are on the lighter end of the AOR spectrum. I mean...Africa doesn't exactly shake the foundations does it?

As for JSS Prism...no idea...I kind of overdosed on all the cover versions posted in this forum and I lost the will to check out his back catalogue....

Yes. It's called Arrival.

Is that the place where you learned that JC didn't love you as much as you love him...?

Wow...you learn something new every day on this site...especially when you're online.

Seriously Matty, check out Jeff's back catalogue. Ur missing TONS by not doing so. There is so much incredible music in there. I LOVE Prism, also Love Parade & Lost In The Translation, dare I say, even his Essential Ballads (slam me for that, go ahead -- but they are NOT syrup). His work w/Talisman is amazing too. Then there's his work w/Eyes that I could play all day long. Then all the demos floating around from Vinnie Vincent, Ju-De-Ta (I play that ALL day), & a whole host of other stuff.

I like Believe in Me and a few of those songs he did for Rock Star. The rest sounds a bit 'journeyman' to me...no pun intended.

It may even shake ur love of Friga a bit to hear such an absolutely incredible body of music.

When it comes to the Perry/Schon/Cain trio I'm a fanatic who won't listen to reason. Nothing can shake this.

Yeah, but ask 10 of your friends to name a Toto song. They'll answer "Africa", trust me I've done it!

I think what Matt's saying here is the main lineup is Journey......like it or not they're what we jumped on the bandwagon for. Cain created some of the best parts of this dead in the water band. Throw any new lead singer into the fray and they'll still never be Journey as we know them. It's Perry, Cain and Schon and that's the bottom line. I don't give a fuck what's been said in this thread as I've no inclination to read it......Matt you're a fuckin saint for stickin' to your guns about Cain, 100% right in what you say. Perry back in the fold = Journey saved, until that day they're a fuckin washed up waste of space. Cain never being in the fold = Journey a C rate band. You can hire a guitarist two to the penny but not a song writer with a clear vision like cain, even though he looks pretty freakin' girlish.
