At the end of each day do you realize that each band member is gamefully employed, hopefully healthy, doing what they want to do, and probably living with a sizeable bank account.

They are not depressed over the situation, why should you be???????

On on a brighter note: WE basically have two Styx products out there and active after 30 plus years. It's ALLLLL GOOD!!!

P.S. I had 4 private E-mails(PM'S) about the Styx Jack In the Box shows. Including one from our friend The Bull.

I had fun with that one!!!!

It's not a one time event. You write about Jack in the Box or other such nonsense often.... "Hope you don't make the Jack Sauce..." Kevin Meaney

This may just be a band, but its a group of people I have been listening to for the better part of my life and their music has meant the world to me.

As for nightbull, I think that anyone who tries to make tense situations worse enjoys drama. I, therefore do not think his apology is anything more than just more seed to make everyone upset. This person should not be applauded for their maturity.

Shane (((HUGS)))

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through depression. I hope you're getting counceling and hopefully if any medication the right one. I've been helping a few friends, which is a LONG story........

Everyone goes through different kinds of depression in their life and everyone deals with it differently.

I'm sure as everyone knows, a few members of Styx have been through different types of depression through the years. When Dennis was going through his depression he wrote the song "Why Me".

Why Me

I guess we used to be the lucky ones
Whose fortune smiles on everyone
Stop
A voice said you best beware
Stop
Bad luck is everywhere
And sure enough the voice was right
My luck changed overnight
Stop
Please tell me what went wrong
Stop
I can't take these ups and downs

Hard times come, hard times go
And in between you hope and pray
The scars don't show
'Cause life is strange and so unsure
The days you hardly make it through
You swear that there's a curse on you
'Cause nothing seems to fit
And things won't go your way
You know you've had enough
You've got the right to say
Why me, why me

Stop
Here comes anxiety
Stop
Won't you please let me be, I need relief
Hard times come, hard times go
In between you hope and pray
The scars don't show
'Cause life is strange and so unsure
The days you hardly make it through
You're sure that there is a curse on you
If nothing seems to fit
And things won't go your way
You know you've had enough
You can't take another day
Where to go and what to do
You've got those bills to pay
You're really not alone you know
'Cause everybody says,
Why me

Alright I admit even though this was hard for me to that I was in the wrong for booing at the end of the show/ returning the finger to dennis. I guarentee this will never happen again. Although again this pains me very much to right this I admit that I was in the wrong and acted to immature for my age. I hope you all accept my apology and we can move on in our some what "frendly" debate on the current line up. And if anyone plans on going to marshfield to see them next friday I would love to speak with you about this situation but until then I apologize and I hope we can move on.

I AM SORRY [/b]

You know I'm a woman and I just can't move on and let things go - LOL Just kidding.

I don't think immature is the right word, please no offense, you were lacking common sense. You've been on this board for a while and you know a little bit of the history of the break up and hard feelings between some of the former band members. It's too bad that you went there with an agenda and just didn't enjoy the show. I think you would've had a great time!! I know everyone around you did.

Can you please tell everyone how old you are so they have more of an understanding of where you're coming from, please!!

Its funny
I was walking down the street in Milwaukee a few years ago and a homeless looking dude walked up to me and said
Why Me thats what I want to know
Funny thing I was on my way to see Dennis.
Could not believe it

I am DAMN sorry but this almost seems humorous. For those keeping score:

We all know what Thenightbull did. He reports it and moves on

Most of us rip him. He basically does'nt respond and we rip him some more

One of the responses is from a person called LifeGiver who has been in 'tears all day' because of Thenightbulls actions.

Thenightbull finally does respond by starting a new Assembly Line stating that he is apologizing for his ignorant actions. He apologizes to Froy who witnessed his stupidity at the concert in question.

Lifegiver, upon reading Thenightbulls actions deems his apology insincere, stating that he/she has been in utter hell since Thenightbulls actions.

Yogi upon reading that the LifeGiver has been in tears all day plus utter hell and now in his infinite wisdom sees thenightbulls apology as insincere calls the LifeGiver a whack job.

Yogi is hammered for his insincere comments.

Suite Madame Blue jumps in and gives The Life Giver a computer hug and then prints the lyrics of Why Me.

The computer hug and the Why Me lyrics comfort the LifeGiver.

Where did "my" Yogi go?? Who took him??

Yogi, I'm giving you a call tomorrow, after I sleep in. UGH!!

I recently helped a friend for his depression, very long story. It took a huge toll on me emotionally and physically. You're going to hear the 45 minute version tomorrow, compared to the normal 5 hours it takes me to tell this story.

I don't have a clue or know the details on what Shane is going through, but I thought a nice computer hug and posting song lyrics from a songwriter that went through depression too might give Shane a little positive energy.

I don't think this part is damn funny!! Now Suite is crabby and going to make some smores in the microwave!!!

Your welcome :) Sometimes I end up playing the album/cd "Cornerstone" and it brightens my day because it takes me back to when I was 12 and all the happy times I had cranking that album to the max when I bought it :)

This whole thread/assembly line, and others started by the same person, have all received WAAAY too much attention.

I sort of thought this one should not have had ANY comments or replies, but, of course, it did. (And now me included)

So it looks like we have another 'new' person to the board, who immediately starts a thread designed to piss everyone off and then claims innocence when it happens. Is this a surprise? Then they take it a step further and go to a DDY concert in Styx '07 gear and boo the performance. Amazingly they are surprised when Dennis and Glen react. "What did I do? I'm new to concerts, I'm only 20 and my mommy had to take me to the show."

Been there, seen it so many times before. I'm waiting for the Arby's Sauce and Urinal Cake comments to start. Forgive me if I don't think the apology and the born again attitude are going to last. I don't think anyone that's been here longer than a year believes it either.

There is your answer, boys and girls. 20 years young.
No 40 year old is going to come on a Styx forum and say Larry is better than Dennis. Even if they somehow thought that to be true. That is just looking for a fight. I think Sammy Hagar is leaps and bounds more talented than David Lee Roth, but I am not going to go on a VH website and say that. It's just disrespectful.
This kid is immature and not wise to the ways of the world yet. But is STILL responible for his actions.
I am glad that Dennis stood up for himself. If in fact this did happen.

I wonder if Chuck is reading all this and laughing his ass off at us!! It really is kind of funny if you think about it.

Now I am going to quit reading this stuff for a while and go back to trying to figure out why innocent people are being killed all over the world for the profit of others? Although the end of that sentence probably just answered my question.

Hi Derri,

thanks for noticing I was gone ! Life has been throwing me a few curves in the past year......... and I really wasn't in a frame of mind to do anything but lurk until recently. I've been very entertained by all of the usual suspects here during my downtime though !

The Jury is still out regarding if I have much to add to the discussion.......time will tell.

I suspect life throws everyone some curves. Whether you hit the brakes in time or veer off the road is the test I suppose. Of course, there are those who crash while in park as well

Wishing you all the best and a brighter future (even if you are a Packers fan).
