Haha...It was OK to be in the same room with MJ back then...

I saw an interview with Lionel Richie on tv about it and he said Steve called him the morning after they finished it. He said Steve was crying and asked if they'd really done what he thought they'd done.
Did anyone else notice that Steve was in the background trying to explain what was wrong with the sequence with Huey, Cindy and Kim?

I saw her a few years ago. She opened for Cher. Cher's stage show was AMAZING and a spectacle, Cyndi came out, sang her head off, (she was sick) and I left with more of an impression of her and her greatness than I had anyone in a long time.
It just seems a little immature to trash other artists, but you know, this board isn't known for it's maturity. is it?

She had a special on VH!Classic, "Cyndi Lauper and Friends", or whatever...a concert with a bunch of guest stars. She also had her own "spotlight" show to promote a "A Body Accoustic". She has an absolutely amazing voice and can hold her own with ANY other singer you can think of. The same goes for her writing talents. I was never much of a fan, she just never intersted me...but her she IS impressive if you listen with an unbiased point of view.

Speaking of John Candy - here's Canada's contribution (JC appears at the very end of this).
I love Neil Young in this - not sure he knows where he is.
