Your Damn Yankees was probably in February 1991, Suite. I just found this:

Unlikely grouping pays off for Damn Yankees
Chicago Sun-Times Date: February 15, 1991 Author: Cristi Kempf

Damn Yankees is an odd marriage indeed.

Legendary bowhunter and screamer Ted Nugent strums alongside former Styx guitarist Tommy Shaw (a vegetarian, no less), ex-Night Ranger bassist Jack Blades and drummer Michael Cartellone.

But it's working. Damn Yankees, now on tour with Bad Company, has a bona fide hit in "High Enough," off its self-titled debut album (No. 13 on Billboard's current pop album chart).

Tonight the tour will bring the bands to the Aragon Ballroom, 1106 W. Lawrence, in a bit of a homecoming for Shaw, who lived in Chicago after leaving Styx in the early 1980s.

Bad English did open for Whitesnake. I found this too:

Bad English:
From March until June 1990 the band tours the USA again with much success as the opening act for 'Whitesnake.'

And here are the dates Bad English played with Whitesnake at Alpine Valley:

According to another website I found.

OOPS, forgot to include in my chronicle, I saw Ricky with the Babys 5/9/80 at Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA.

1991 - Tower Theater in Philadelphia, PA (they did NOT play the Mann); Audio Mob opened

They actually did play the Mann on 8/23/91 and I still have the ticket stub. And thanks for the name of the opening band on 5/31. I knew they were Audio something or other....

Yes, it is on 69th Street in Upper Darby. Philadelphia's border begins about a few blocks down Market Street at Millbourne Avenue.

Well, it's as much Philly as when you see, say, the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA, but people just say Boston. Although Upper Darby is closer to Philly than Mansfield is to Boston.

I didn't pay attention that they came back and played the Mann later that summer. That night at the Tower (5/31) was insanely hot. My friend to this day never lets me forget how that show was just painfully unbearable that venue was with no A/C.

I don't have my ticket stub. Did you see DY at the Tower Theater and happen to have the date?

Yes, you're certainly right. Even though it's officially in Upper Darby I wouldn't tell someone they're wrong if the said the Tower in Philly.

Yes, it was very uncomfortable in there that night. But my friend Ed & I weren't complaining since a guy had handed us free balcony seats at the last minute. And at least the SOUND was good. The sound from where we were sitting at that Mann in August was AWFUL!
DY & Bad Company were at the Tower in early February of 1991 as far as I can recall. I didn't attend the show but remember it being heavily promoted. I'm sure I can find that date for you. I'll look around.....
