It is a weekly rag that tries to be a real paper. They give it away for free at supermarkets. Don't go out more for this....

Houston has a free newspaper called the Houston Press and it is often more interesting than the "real" newspaper. In depth and incisive articles on subjects not usually covered in the Houston Chronicle.

I may have been a little harsh in the last post. It is basically the same as your paper. In their sports section (2 pages) they dedicate a full page to NASCAR. The 4 daily papers in New York couldn't even spell NASCAR...

Ya, It has some pretty decent columnists, I usually grab a copy if i see it somewhere.

Nashville has one too. "The City Paper"... It's actually better than the newspaper you pay for.

The Tennessean just plain sucks.

In Houston, it is just the opposite. The Press probably hasn't a clue what NASWhut? is. It is, of course, all over the Chronicle sports section. Along with the Lastros and that football team "we" have. :roll:

i used to read Goodtimes and the Island Ear religiously, back in the day. never heard of the LI Press though. i guess that means i'm officially old. ack.
