My father passed away this morning. My mom was with him when he went. He was holding her hand and said to her "I think you should go home now" just before he left to be in the arms of his Lord.

I thank you all for your warm wishes, support and prayers during all of this.

I truely don't think it's hit me yet. I'm just thankful that my mother was with him in his final hours and not alone.

Rest in Peace Dad.. your pain is over.

So listen to their words and take comfort in the time that you shared with your dad, and that you have many people who care about you.

Thank you all for your prayers, well wishes and support during this time of loss. I have been truely blessed to have all of you in my life.

Some days are better then others right now. It's still so numbing I must say. I know he's in a better place and not suffering, but there's still so much around me that reminds me of the loss of my father.

I know I will heal in time, but I have to be ready for many changes in the near future that I never expected to happen. I just hope I have the strength to face them and make the right decisions when the time comes.

I'm still hoping to make the Oct 1st Styx show in Edmonton, but I still don't have tickets for my gf and I. Hopefully they play a set closer to the time they played in Montreal instead of 45 minutes. I hope that hearing Styx live after nearly a four year hiatus will help start the healing.

Again thank you all. Not sure how often I will post in the upcoming weeks, but I just thought I'd let you know that I'm doing best that I can and have a lot of support around me.

I just hope I can do right by my dad's teachings and make him proud.
