I don't always have anything informative or witty to post on here, but this place has been a great stress reliever for me, especially lately. Keep your chin up, Andrew. Sorry this has happen. But I'm sure everything will be alright. You put to much into this for it not to. Your doing what you can and it will be all ok. You have to much support here for it not to be. I will not be able to make the concert but I know it will be a blast. As for "I don't have a life" you know who it is and your taking care of it.

As for the band. What can one say about a band that doesn't want to move on? Not much. I've always gone by the song and this band hasn't given me any reason to enjoy it for years. I lost respect for them after what they did to Steve Perry. Unless the band grows up, which I highly doubt, they will continue to do the same until someone puts a stop to them and makes them close the band down. That may be the former fans.

But keep the forum Andrew. We need someplace to blow off steam, in a nice way of course. I haven't been posting much or long but I do enjoy coming to the forum and reading what others have to say. I'd hate to lose that.

Drew, whoever did this took a cheap shot at you and it is also a little ridiculous considering the makeup of many of the bands that are going to be at your show... Is this person(s) actually calling you a racist? How can you boycott a show based on racism when the composition of the bands and probably the audience is diverse? IMO, any 'cloud' over your fest was made a little darker by this thread and giving someone attention who really shouldn't be getting ANYTHING other then a court date, if it is applicable.

I'm totally stunned at this news. First of all, I don't understand how you (Andrew) are responsible for any postings by board members. You didn't make any of the comments in question (re: Arnel), so why would anyone blame you for something you didn't say or support? It's simply insane.

Secondly, this is 1000% actionable of your part. You CAN (and should) take this person or people to the cleaners for this. Their children's children will be paying off their debts. You should take the money you get from WINNING the court case and use it to put on an even bigger concert.

I have been made aware of a VERY serious attempt by an obsessed Journey asshole fan to RUIN MelodicRockFest.

This insane lunatic is e-mailing the venue and press outlets that are lined up to promote my event calling on them to boycott the event and boycott all promotion of this event due to racism on THIS message board and citing as an example that half-assed Pilipino blog article of last week.

I KNOW WHO THIS PERSON IS AND AM OBTAINING LEGAL ADVICE ON WHETHER SHE CAN BE SUED FOR DEFAMATION AND WHETHER SHE CAN BE SUED FOR POTENTIAL LOSS OF INCOME ETC ETC.

There are fans coming to this event from all over the world - Japan, UK, Sweden, France, Australia, Germany, Italy, Canada....all are welcome and all will be embraced as one big melodic rock lovin' family.
