Years ago at Watkins Glen, in his Busch car. He said he did that because he couldn't believe he was still alive. I was at the race last night. And I'll be in Richmond this weekend. Yeah, I've got it bad............lol.

Hey! Do me a favor... Convince someone to hold a memorial Wallace/gordon grudge match on that damned track already! Rust left with gordon one up on that shit and it pisses me off.

Gordon would crush him, so I'm afraid you'd still be pissed after the grudge match. :P
(& it obviously still pisses RW off, too. He tries to be professional in his commentary, but his distain for Gordon sometimes creeps through, lol.)

Rusty does despise Gordon, but loves Johnson(Gordon's teammate and Jimmies car owner). It is weird.

gordon is the poster child for whiney ass fucks. Yeah, boy can drive (as much as it kills me to admit that), but damn he's a diva and always has been. Johnson, on the other hand, came out there on the big boy's track with the proper respect for the veterans and earned respect from them in return. Funny, now that I think about it, Neal and gordon are very similar in many regards. Both have talent. Yet both conduct business in the manner of a petulant child. Huh....

I hate Gordon, but he did come into the sport when Dale Sr was still alive, and he started winning...and that pissed the 'Necks off....He is a whiner to be sure, but I am glad JJ is much different. remember earlier this year at Martinsville, when Gordo was upset because Jj wouldn't get out of the way and Gordo couldn't pass and win? JJ said "tough, I'll take the win thank you."

My one wish was always that Sr would take that little shit to the wall right and proper. Once Sr died, that transferred to Jr. I never had a problem with the shit winning. Always have a major problem when he cues the mike and whines that *so-so crossed the line,* *it's drizzling,* *he won't move and I've the right of way,* *he's blocking me.* Good god fuck.. shut the hell up and drive! If I ever make it up to TMS, I'm heading straight for the pit and knockin the shit a good one for the *he jumped the start* crap. Rust didn't jump the start you shit! You were just too fucking slow off the mark!

Yeah, JJ had it right. As Sr always said..... That's racin....

Yeah

Do you work for someone, or just deadheading (& for which #?)

Thanks for the info on Johnson. Yeah, you could tell he was just happy to have survived that one, lol. He handled it perfectly. For me, one of the all time classic moments, lol.

I WISH I worked for someone. Almost worked for a scanner company a few years ago. I've just got it bad. Went to 11 last year, cutting it down to 9-maybe 8-this year. lol. #17!

Oh, please!!! All the great ones whine like mules. Look at Tony Stewart, for crying out loud! All he does is bitch, but I still love watching him drive!

The drivers hate JG because, as Deano said, he immediately started beating them all and, almost immediately, dominated the sport. And he had to fight tooth and nail with many of the stars to win some of those races. If the stars had won the battle, it was just great racing, but when JG won, well, how dare him for not being bullied out of a win.
The fans hate him because he was beating their heroes, and because he doesn’t drink (which I think is because he’s a Christian, but not the southern beer drinking kind, so it doesn’t count).

& Now that Sr is gone, and Jr is spotty at best, they love ANYONE who can stop 24’s domination.

That being said, I agree he’s a piss and moaner. He’s way too white bread for me. He’s dorky as hell. But MAN he can drive.

Watkins Glen is my favorite track. Stewart, Hamlin and Edwards were the most fun to watch. But, aside from the spinout at the end (to the delight of many  ) Gordon was simply amazing. He rarely even touched the grass, which isn’t as much fun, but damn it’s good.

I like many drivers. Think Edwards and Johnson are the cutest, lol. Again, Stewart and Hamlin are probably the most fun to watch.
But it’s always that damn 24 car that I end up the most excited about as it starts coming to the front. Go figure.

(ps what’s NOT to love about Johnson? He’s the least controversial driver out there. He’s great looking. He’s a phenomenal driver. And, best of all I think, he seems the most sincere about his charity work. )

Chad Knaus.

That's ok, lol. He is a bit of a sore thumb in Nascar - in many ways.
& I'm a strange Nascar fan. I just really love the driving (especially on the road courses), but I could care less about them personally.
Which is why I also love Stewart, lol.

Ahem...put me in the car with those Allstate ladies! It's Kasey Kahne for me. And I'm old enough to be his...uh...older sister. :D

I also like Dale Jarrett and Denny Hamlin. Looks like Joe Gibbs is going with Toyotas next year.

He is cute. I prefer Edwards, though. He's not perfect, but he's tall, has a Killer smile, and that body ... lordy, lordy, lordy

lol, you mean they drive cars, too???

I'm taking a beer break from packing for Richmond. A LOT of these guys are little. I've always thought that's why they race. My theory is they were too small to play football, basketball, etc., but still wanted to compete at something. The good ones made it, just like in other sports. Back to it. Later..........

To add to the spirit of this thread and generate some more interest/traffic, I have decided I am going to model a pair of Lowe's #48 boxers for you all here tonight, after I get back from Hooters. Yes, my lovely kick ass bitchin old lady is cooler than the other side of the pillow and allowing me to hit Hooters for some pops and come back and pose for the Nascar 48 boxer pic.

Look for it about 8PM Pacific...Who knows when that is for our Romanian readers..lol hahahahah

Whoa.... I've got a LOT of answering to do here. lol Re: shithaid winning. Yeah, he wins. That isn't what drives me insane. It really is the whining before, during and after races that gets my goose. I NEVER heard Sr whine (maybe he just did so in private?) or any of the other greats (sorry, but these new kiddos don't rank as greats to me just yet) for that matter. If you are good, you prove it on the track without all the unnecessary diatribe/commentary about what anyone/everyone else is doing/has done to/around/near you. You know what I mean? Okay, so his voice is right up there on the list that has me rolling my eyes. Ugh....
Re: Tracks.... Sorry, but flat tracks are ridiculous. Gimme the lady in black ANY day of the week to chull the wheat. (can you tell I dig the....interaction between cars?) Having to concentrate on your gearing, mileage, distance, up high/down low, splash and go, two or four AND having several someones constantly up yer tailpipe is my kind of racin.
Re: The looks thing.... don't mean a thing to me. Oddly enough, I just had that discussion with the 16 y/o and commented on how most *fans* of NASCAR that happen to be women WILL mention the looks of their fav driver within the first sentence. Ahem.... there were several in this thread alone. lol All counts totaled, women of the sport didn't consider Rust a *looker.* I can't help that he looked like a bit older version of my first husband. The man's record speaks for itself. In my book, he's still KING of short track racin.
Re: My driver.... ::::sigh::: <----make that a big one I am totally lost without Rust out there. I watched that man for over twenty years! Bar none! I took notice of Jr when he first came aboard, also Baby Petty (that was so damned sad). I'm still waiting for Boy Labonte to make a showing and maybe Rust kidlet. Right now I keep an eye on baby Busch. He's got the respect for elders down pat, makes good decisions and listens to those around him. I think we'll see much more out of him in the next few years.

Dude, Rusty looks like a Howdy Doody lookin Bitch motherfucker.

Kyle Busch has the respect of his elders? Who? Tony, JJ, JG, and many of the stars think he drives hotheaded.

Yeah well.... At least I don't claim my driver as the hottest thing out there. Whadda ya want? It was them butt ugly drivers that these snot nosed kids aspire to become.

And yeah.... baby Busch has garnered respect. The elders are a complete different group from these glory boys of today. I'm talkin Martin (Mark that is), Jarrett, Petty. The boy doesn't talk about what he's going to do, the kid does it. He's smart out there too. I'm tellin ya.... watch that kid the next couple of years. Though, I'd rather he be in that Penske car rather than his drunk brother. Man, that'd be a mean ride with baby bro behind the wheel.

Now.... about that boxer pic?

Before I get into quoting everything wrong I've read here, allow me a little background.

I've been in Nascar since birth, my grandaddy ran moonshine with Lee Petty, I've grown up in the infield/suites/grandstands. I can't even tell you how deep this is in my blood.

I can argue tracks with you guys that you've never even heard of that not so long ago were equal in power with anything today.

These cookie cutter mile and a halfs... don't get me started. I can still spit fire over the labor day race being in motherfuckingFONTANA instead of Darlington like it should be.

Anyhow. I WARN any and all of you DO NOT argue Nascar with me unless you can prove your creds. I will tear you a new asshole.

Now, I will begin with dissecting this bullshit.

I applaud anyone who can enjoy this...but I just don't. It's sad when something bores me more than watching golf.

Liam, its because you were watching the FONTANA race. Tune in tomorrow night for Richmond... or better yet, wait a couple of weeks and watch Dega or Martinsville. Its not so bad. See, Fontana is a cookie cutter track, and there's no real competition to it. The only time you see anything interesting is when two rookies in the Busch series get caught up in a clusterfuck because one of them sneezed and rubbed the other's quarterpanel.

I'm not personally attacking you, you're cool, no beef. Just using this as an example...
I won't deny Kasey is pretty, he is. Although he is a horrible kisser and completely retarded when it comes to playing beer pong... not boyfriend material.
I say that because I've known him more or less the better part of five years. I like the fact that Nascar is gaining "NEW" fans. Welcome, join the fun.
But... us "old" fans... female ones, want to sit and argue tire pressure and which chassis is better at which track.

Once again... not attacking you personally, for all I know you've been a fan for years and know as much as I do. Just pointing out the "cuteness" comment.

I can up ya on this...

-My Daddy was on various pit crews when I was a kid.
-Not to mention my families ties with the birth of the 'sport'.
-I've lived back and forth between my hometown (in VA) and Mooresville (the hub for everything) going on 15 years.
-I am friends with or at least know on a personal basis with most of the drivers. Cause there are plenty I hate, and they know it.
....Actually, I'm so close in that I can't honestly have a favorite driver. It wouldn't be fair, its like choosing your favorite cousin. You can have a favorite, but someone's going to get their feelings hurt.

Races I attend each year: (Busch, Cup, and sometimes Truck)

Both Daytona
Both Bristol
Both Charlotte
Both Martinsville
Both Richmond
Talladega
Dover
Pocono
Darlington

...I used to go to more, but they took the fucking races out of the good track because it wasn't "Pop Cultured" enough. (North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, Myrtle Beach [Busch], and here's a throw back... Lonesome Pine.)

I've got it BAD, but then again, its for the most part my life. I even used to work at DEI & Roush. Now in radio I deal with all our MRN & PRN stuff. God, I love racin.
