There are a few left here, who I like very much by the way, that will continue to support Journey. If you have met Soto, it's hard not to support him isn't it?

Never met the guy, but plan on seeing him in Ft. Worth on the 29th. I hope I get the chance to shake his hand and tell him what I think about the Journey fiasco.

Not had that pleasure - but i enjoyed my fix of Journey with JSS at the helm- maybe thats what bugged them - cos there was no doubt that he WAS at the helm - in a big way. Anyway JSS has my support - my CD collection grows in the "J" section - altho i have to say i still like the stuff he did with Axel Rudi Pell and Malmsteen as well - hell, he is plain and simple one of life's good guys - nothing less............................

a total chick band anyway. Soto is much better off without those metro-sexuals. Maybe if he had his balls removed too he could sing more like Steve Ferry.

Sounds like they all but hired and then backed out of the deal with Jeremey too...he hasn't heard from them at all in a month, probably never will one way or the other.

Sad... I used to love this band.

Jeremey had to of expected to get pood on.
Soto is a class act just like MA. Two people I completely respect that have just gotten shitted on lately and handled things with class.

Key words in your post, Steve, are that Augeri came by to see Journey. If Augeri didn't do that, Journey wouldn't of taken the time of day to go see or call him.

Even if Perry has never gone back for personal reasons, he is looking more and more brilliant for staying away from this camp and leaving his Joureny for what it was.

This explains why this band is on it's last legs. Augeri and Soto worked their asses off and they dump Soto this way. FUCKIN' PATHETIC AND SICKENING. Cain and Schon are NOTHING but a couple of money hungry bitches at this point. I for one am SO DONE with this band.

I am glad to hear after listening to both interviews Jeff did that he is moving forward, unlike Journey who is sitting in stagnant water with flies and mosquitos buzzing about.........

Dude, Saint John you gotta be KIDDING me.

World Play absolutely BLAZES. True, not a lot of crooning tunes out of the band, which given the (very cool) loon you are, would resonate more....

Soul SirkUs' World Play is a timebomb that 10 years from now will be recognized... . Hell, it got at LEAST a 90 from the site here.

EVERYTHING gets a 90+ here, so a 90 is about as bad as it gets. Anyway, that album is garbage and has the album sales to prove it. I played it for a few of my friends and they laughed. NO chemistry with the members involved...NONE at all. Noise and vocals. That album is in the local dump right next to Generations...and I'm serious. Pitched them both.

Everything does NOT get a 90 + here, 'Drew pans a lot of bands he likes when they need it.

It so happens that we realize Journey rarely if ever did anything that WARRANTED below a 90.

World Play smokes, but dude, that's not your bagbeing in the PSLOA and all, so it's cool but you can't discredit its 90+ rating.

I'm not arguing that SS should not have ended. I don't have the links, but when SS was in the 'red' Neal shut it down. Despite this, Neal's decision caught JSS somewhat by surprise (someone else may know/remember what Neal had told JSS with respect to Soul Sirkus continuing). Neal is like an ex-girlfriend who didn't want to see the pain that dumping you would cause, so they just begin to sleep around until you find out. In the end, it's more painful for you, but hey it's easier that way on them.

It doesn't matter what rating Generations got, it's still a hell of a lot better than half the shit that's out there now.

That sums it up very well. I have nothing but disrespect for what's left of Journey now. They have no idea how to treat people. Neal and Jon think they are bigger than they really are. They need to come back down to Earth and learn some respect for other people.

I can't remember which audio interview I listened to today, but Jeff did touch on the Soul Sirkus thing. That cleared up some of the questions I had about why it went into the toilet.
