Okay...here's some 80s singles from former members of 10cc, the great British supergroup of the 70s:

Cry - Godley and Creme

Such a ground-breaking video from 1985...the first ever to feature the new morphing technology....

Remember Jonathan King had a couple of TV shows? One was 'No Limits' the other was 'Entertainment USA' and he played a lot of US stuff on those. The video for this seemed to be on a whole lot, and I loved it. But I can't remember whether it was an actual top 40 hit here. He used to show 'bubbling under' tracks which he predicted would become hits here. Maybe this was one of those, so I'm not sure Matt. I used to tape stuff from the radio too and I have the track on a cassette which I recorded from somewhere, so if it wasn't a hit here, it must have got some airplay. I wouldn't bet money on it, but it was on his show all the time alongside stuff from Heart, Survivor, Pat Benatar and people like that.

Aaaaah, memories.

Excellent 80's song. One of the best for that genre from that era. Still love this song today. Great energy. This is one I can never change when it comes on the radio.

Has anyone mentioned the song with the Vegemite sandwich in it? It was something about coming from the land down under.

CRlady - I loved Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World!

Did you ever get to hear this one?
Oleta Adams sings on it with them.
Woman In Chains - fabulous! Listen to her note just before the 3 minute mark.....beautiful.

I always loved it. Don't know anything about the band/singer though. I'll have to go and google them now. :)

EDIT - well, there's a shock, I never knew it was Patti Smyth! Learn something new every day!
I loved Sometimes Love Just Aint Enough too and I never knew it was the same girl!
Back to school for me I think.
