There's no way that site should've been down for more than a week or two, at the most. If they really wanted a new web site, it would be up by now.

Since they have NOTHING to PUT on a new website, I guess they aren't in a big hurry :?

They just continue to do dumbass things time after time. If you want to get and/or keep new fans, one way to do it is to keep an official site up and running.

Only thing I can figure is that they weren't there when the brains were handed out.

Hmm. Interesting that the site has down due to being redesigned since JUNE, but still they managed to find time to scare up some new merchandise to hawk all over MySpace and through email. Priorities, eh?

And message to SchonCo - if it takes your webdesigners THIS long to build a site (that was fine to begin with), you should probably start looking for someone new.

"Redesigned" my ass. That message should say "We're stalling. Come back later... but keep buying our swag!!"

They only fire singers and not slow website designers. They wish to remain in their bunker so let them. Their travesties will not end and will continue to follow them even if they hide for 2 yrs. The need for $$$ will force them to be groundhogs soon.

The site being down, I'm sure, has everything to do with the singer situation. They'll get it up (pun  ) when they officially announce Arnel as "the man". Then, we can all take our Journey-bashing back to the official Journey site...right where it belongs.

I doubt they'll have a forum on there after BackTalk. If they really cared about the opinions of their fans we wouldn't even be having this discussion right now.

That site was a mess. Neal must be growing out his fro for their home page pics, since he wants to go back to the PAST. How exciting that BT might return. Yawn.

What about Neal's own site. He posted a video over a year ago about upcoming video lessons and showing 'joe six pack' how he plays the Journey tunes. Since then, nothing. The fro in slo mo....

BT will never come back...at least not in the form that it was in. Would you pay for a forum only to be criticized on it? No...and Neal and Co. won't either.

I think this is very true. Yes, they got the news about The Sopranos up, but then took the site down right after (we all know why). Anyway, I think that was very shortsighted of them (pun POSSIBLY intended) because I am sure there are people who didn't see the first run of The Sopranos and were interested later. They get to the Journey website only to see it as a shell. Total crap.

They don't allow anything except fawning worship on their site. That's why it was so lame that only Augeri Wigglers posted there.

You are someone who has obviously never visited Jackass Talk on "the official Journey website"! Unless the moronic moderators who ran that site approve of your words, anything you say willl be deleted! You will then receive a nasty email from one of these self-important jerks telling you that you MUST worship EVERYTHING these impostors, calling themselves Journey, ever puts out...Even if it sucks as bad as "Generations" did!!!!!

Yeah there's that, not to mention the legions of folks who more or less FORGOT about Journey unless that show aired, and went "Oh yeah - hey I always liked that song... wonder what those guys are up to - lemme look up their website..." (and then there are the folks who heard that song on the show and went "oh hey... Starship -- are they still around?" But fuck those people...)

Terribly poor timing on "Journey's" part. I suspect if they ever put a forum back up, it won't be called Back Talk and it will certainly be ruled with an iron fist. Don't go 'spressin' no poor opinions of the band and don't go talkin' about (sssshhhhhh!) the former singers. The letters J and S will be added to the word filter and replaces with Xs.

Xo don't try to type wordX that contain a X or an X becauXe it will look like thiX.

Well, yeah, might as well since they're not really "Journey" anymore.

Google Journey and the official band website comes up first on the list. Next up is wikipedia and then the Sony website. My guess is that they are hoping casual fans work their way down to the Sony site which has all of the info on the remastered albums. Nothing but the legacy sound is there (SP) with the exception of Arrival. What better way to focus on the 65 million units already out there than to sell them some more? :?
