Who knows? With the hired hands up there grinning and acting like they had something to do with the Styx legacy, one hopes an award was sent to Glen as well.

My guess is that any organization giving a "lifetime achievement" award to Leann Rimes kinda deserves a  on general principle...

Singer/Songwriter, LeAnn Rimes was awarded The 2007 Outback Concerts IEBA Humanitarian Award and lit the room up with her smile as the program came to an end.

Oh. Well, that makes more sense, I suppose. Nevermind.

Back to the bitching about usurpers and such....

I heard they invited Dennis but he had to stay home to clean his shoes. Oh well. Wasn't that big a deal now was it.

What a disgrace. It's like Pete Best and Stu Sutcliffe accepting an award for the Beatles. :x

Yep you gotta feel bad for Pete and Stu. Stu for dying so young (21), he really had no music talent. Pete was there in the trenches with the Beatles during their hamburg and cavern days. Literally right before going in to record the first album they fire him, sucks. Worked out ok for them.

But I would compare this to giving the Beatles a lifetime achievement award and having Paul and Ringo be absent, accepting on behalf of the Beatles are several members from Paul's band Wings: Joe English, Denny Laine, Steve Holly (TS connection there), et al.

Didn't you know - Styx's lifetime achievements are Blue Collar Man and Renegade! Those sappy Deyoung songs like Come Sail Away, Grand Illusion, Rockin the Paradise, Best Of Times, Lady, Lorellei, Roboto, Suite Madame Blue, etc. didn't mean shit! Hell, Styx should play shows where they play Blue Collar Man and Renegade multiple time! Oh wait, they've already done that.
