   Greg, I used to have lunch at the El Ranchito two or three times a week when I worked in Martinsville and Bassett. A couple of the young IEs in the department used to get into dart tournaments at the Dutch Inn before the fire.

Cool, I didn't know that? :)

But you forgot a pic of Lombard Street (Crookedest street). I can't tell you how many times us kids made Dad drive down that street when we were on vacation there. Gawd we were soooo the Griswalds, station wagon and all.

Oh yeah, thanks Deb, I forgot that one. On the pic, I'm going on scenery that is on the island, not sure until Cyndy or Lora can confirm.

I've only been through there once in the last 10 yrs or so. I went to manage another BW/Lee facility shortly after the fire. The times when I was in that area and trying to teach/control the young IEs were very good times though.

I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Oy vey.... Our first year driving up to visit friends with MLS, we missed the boat completely and wound up lost somewhere near Parker Memorial (or whatever it is now). We were looking for the large green lit building at the time... during the day. Evidently, the good people of Dallas know their way around so well they DON'T need street signs or building numbers. After about an hour, we drove back over to Mesquite and called THEM to come get us!

We DID find our way to the Cotton Bowl though. Cool beans.

I do too. I don't go into Dallas unless I absolutely have to. As a matter of fact, the last time I was in Dallas was July 29, 2006. Jeff Scott Soto was fronting some band at the Smirnoff Amphitheater.

Yeah, that's called the north side. It's gone way down hill. The Stockyards area is really nice. They keep it clean and mugger free.

If you ever get a chance to go to the Smirnoff Amphitheater in Dallas, there you will see the real projects. The neighborhoods surrounding it, the Cotton Bowl and Fair Park are about as bad as you can get.

Yeah, it didn't seem that bad going in, but going out at night it was kinda scary actually. I thought the JSSB was gonna get attacked

Yeah, some guys in trucks yelling stuff at us ladies. The guys weren't too comfortable. I thought that was pretty bold of them since there were more guys than ladies in our group. We all walked very fast! It didn't help the bar owner told them someone had been stabbed out there earlier that week

My wife grew up in that area, and I guess 35 years ago it was really nice. It's amazing how things can change so fast.

Oh, the houses were beautifully made. But then you find out there's meth labs and hookers in them, and it is a little shocking. I love Ft. Worth though. Great town, great food.

Damn! That's as bad as here! Last time I parked downtown, I got hosed 16 bucks for just half an hour.
Glad I wasn't there all day.

Jesus, $43 per day - what do they consider a "day"?
Around here, if you get taken for that much per day, it usually means "8-hour work day". Bastards.
We get hosed on parking all over this freakin' city. It's insane.
