Everything except for Lorelei.... let JY continue to butcher that one nightly.

I'd rather hear JY doing "Lorelei" than suffer through "Miss America" again.

You know what, I have been reasonably pleasantly surprised by JY's take on "Lorelei". Not Dennis, but sincerely not bad, I have to say. Better than I would have imagined for him on that song. Who knew?

JY does do a nice version of Lorelei. Yes, its not Dennis, but if JY had originally cut that song - I don't think anyone would have complained at the time.

My only problem with JY singing "Lorelei" is that you can still hear the lyrics. Couldn't they just "na na na" their way through that one?

That's kinda my point. He's not bad on it, and it's a million times better than that damn "Are you ready-y-y-y-y-y" and that fucking kick drum in the beginning. I never really liked that song and only liked it for that time they did the original intro circa 2001 with the keys.

Oh come on, like "Midnight Ride" is much better lyrically? Just saying ... let's face it, most of those songs have shitty lyrics. When they get deep like "This Old Man", you know you aren't hearing 'em live.

I wasn't directly comparing to any other tune...just saying I don't care for the lyrics.

I second that. Never been a fan of that one to begin with. I prefer JY's vocals on it, but can't get past the lyrics.

"This Old Man" isn't really deep either, it's just sentimental.

Well, they all sounded pretty "deep" when I was stoned. :P
On second thought, I don't think I ever really paid attention to the lyrics. It was the music that caught my attention. :)

DITTO, I cringe with all of that ad-libbing he does with that... Miss Ammamamamammamammammarica.... Stop Already....

And what's all the negativity with Lorelei...
