In all honesty, all 3 'Major' candidates offer no real solutions. They do talk the "change" rhetoric enough, but I've yet to see what they are going to do to help out the country.

I don't see one bit of difference between Obama and McCain. The only one that scares me is Clinton. She is not only an outright socialist determined to socialize medicine, she also is SOOOOOO much smarter than all of us an does little to hide the fact that she thinks that way. I've seen way too many clips where she comes off totally smug and I believe that in the collective heart of all Americans, they know she's that way.

I can only hope.

We did and his name was Romney. It's rare we are given the chance to elect someone with his brains and talent. Too bad the Repubs are far more worried about his religion.

classicstyxfan wrote:I think we sould all vote for McCain......after all, the War in Iraq is FUN, and should drag on as long as possible.....and the Economy ? why would we ever want to see any major changes in how thats been handled these past 7 glorious years ? President Bush has worked so hard to put us where we are today, it's a shame we cant give him a third term ! John Mc Clain ( oh wait, hes the guy from the Die Hard movies...I always get him and Rambo and the republican frontrunner mixed up.........) I mean McCain is the only guy who wont mess up all of the progress we've made.

I think all those people who worry abot J Macs ( supposedly legendary) temper should just back off........he's not like other Vietnam vets, some of whom came back mentally scarred and emotionally unbalanced. I trust him implicitly to take good care of that briefcase with all those nu-cleuhr codes.

That Obama guy wants to change everything if hes elected... I'm going to have to dump all of my Haliburton stock before it tanks !

And HILLARY ? good Gawd, if she gets in, all those meddling people from the 90's migh get in and eliminate the annual deficit, like they did the last time ! or worse yet, all those lower income people might start to get affordable healthcare. Then I'll have to sell my insurance stocks !

So I hope you all will consider the only patriotic and 'merican way to vote this fall.....and vote
to expand on the groundwork that been laid these last 7 years.

Thank you for your support, and sorry to hijack your thread, Green.....one last thing, can I have that rebate check I'm "borrowing" from my grandkids future taxes now please ?

This is such a good post that people from both sides of the aisle can see the humor.

gee..........um............thanks Shaka

In all seriousness, I really respect McCains service to the country, I think he's well placed in the Senate ( just dont let him near the Banking committees ) as President ?.....not so much.

Romney seems like a smart guy, that Rush Limbaugh really liked him scares me a little, and had he been nominated, the dems would have nailed him with a "Kerry" ( flip flops and all )

Huck-a-Buck seems reasonably intelligent, but he's got too many TV evangalists pulling his strings

I wish the candidates had to reveal who they would put in their cabinets and as VP prior to my having to decide about them........especially in Obamas case, I'd like to know who would be whispering in his ear. Of course, he's well versed in forgien affairs because of the 4 years he spent ( ages 10-14 ) living in Africa.

Hillary ? doesnt matter as much, she has all the answers already, and wont be listening to anyone else, except maybe Bill. kinda scares me that people think 8 years as 1st lady did anything to prepare her to be in the Drivers seat...still, not sure Id want to be the Forgein country who pisses her off....

The more I think about it, maybe a write in vote for Colin Powell would make sense....anybody want to join a movement ???

Ah yes...you up in the arctic tundra there. Though living some 450 miles away from that area now I concur. Though come on now...nothing beats a fun filled time honored tradition of rehashing who rocks harder, who has the fresher set list, who is dorkier than this place. Talking about something worthwhile...like presidential elections...are you mad man??? One would think that stuff actually matters!!!

And we all know that Yogi is wrong about everything. Now there's beating a dead horse for you

I played Barbs 8 plus / almost 9 minute video.

Since this guy is NOT running for President I dont have a clue why she enclosed this. Was he a classmate of McCains?

Ya alot of bad shit happens, and we no longer seem to use common sense.

So what's your point??

Back to my point, They ARE ILLEGAL............................ END OF STORY.

They cost our country BILLIONS. And they do NOT belong here.

Here is my question to Barbra.

Lets say someone sneaks into your home, and hides in your attic for years. For years they do laundry & pick up from time to time when you are not home or when no one is there to see them. They also sneak your food, medicine, and money. They spend it and send some of it back to their native country. While in your home they find someone else from their native country, have sex and 9 months later a baby is delivered at the local hospital. One year later you hear a baby crying and discover this person and her child.

Are these people now members of your family???????

Yo Barb, since you are not going to answer my question I am going to help you out some.

First off, I NEVER make excuses, and you sound like an excuse maker. From what you wrote you obviously like to drink and party a little. Well I've got the party for you. I hope that your house is big. You are the HOST!! Here's the rules:

1. There are no rules. ANYONE is allowed to come to your house.

2. The party will go on forever.................. When you die, your kids get to host it......... When they die their kids..............

3. All food, drink, entertainment, sleep arangements, medical care,.... EVERYTHING is provided by........... YOU.

4. Maybe some of your partygoers will help you clean up from time to time. But who cares?? It's a PARTY!!!!!!!

5. No Name tags. Why would anybody want to know who is attending???????

6. You can even advertise for your party on Al Jazirah, in Mexico, Canada etc...

7. HAVE FUN BARBRA!!! DRINK AWAY!!!!! IT'S A PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, Yogi doesn't need to drink, Barbara. lol

While I am certainly no fan of the massive number of illegal immigrants to the U.S., I am aware that a blanket "throw them all out" a) will never happen, and b) would cause more financial repercussions than any of us realize. Let's also not forget, Yogi, that unless you're an American Indian, YOUR relatives got here the same way many of these folks did. The only difference was that America was vast and resources seemed abundant. Nobody had any conception of population increases, water shortages, International free trade agreements, indoor plumbing, central air conditioning, Styx message boards. One of the great things about this country was that is has always recognized and accepted all immigrants, from all walks of life, no matter what sorta knackers they are. What does it say on the Statue of Liberty:

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

I suppose they should change that to say "Anyone with the appropriate papers is welcome. Everyone else, go forth and multiply."

I'm all for getting some control, but ...rash, anyone? Geez.

By the way, that your scenarios are riddled with error and hysteria.

Come on Zan you are better then trotting out the 500 year old the Indians were here first excuse.

Shit, you sang with Glen and thats the best that you've got???

Maybe we ought to give Texas back to Mexico.

Then again, maybe we already have??????

Booting their Illegal asses out will COST us money??? You must be drinking the same shit as Barbra.

Short run ....... Yes.................. Absolutely...............

Long run????? AHHHHHHH........ We save Hundreds of BILLIONS..... and maybe OUR country.

Head over to Barbs house. Theres a party there where you won't know a soul.

Thats the way you want it right?????

No rules, no names.

P.S. I live 50 miles from the border and work 30 miles from it. Most of our friends are Hispanic. GREAT GREAT people. They are legal. Outside of those bleeding heart Lazzara idiots most educated Hispanics WANT the illegals OUT. They realize the damage and the danger our open borders are causing our country. Come in the same way either they, their parents, grandparents, or great grand parents did. Respect our culture, and our laws. We will do the same with theirs. But come in LEGALLY.

P.S.S. There are NOT any holes in either one of my anaologies. We are a country that is governed by laws. With your arguments the law is broken. THEY ARE ILLEGAL. THEY ARE UNDOCUMENTED. WE DONT KNOW WHO THEY ARE. IN A POST 9-11 SOCIETY WE CANT AFFORD TO HAVE THAT. THEY ARE ILLEGAL/UNDOCUMENTED I AM RIGHT/YOU ARE WRONG, END OF STORY!!
