omg. LOL...

Y'know, the Styx purist in me wants to tell them they got the wrong lettering for the slogan. Anyone else?

Still, I need one. :-D

Well, this is better than the one that they had on styxworld.com a few years back, but yeah, I agree. The one that Dennis was selling at his shows is better than this one, though. It had the Kilroy computer-y looking font.

I can see why they went with the "classic" 77-78 era logo as it's the most recognizable.

wow, weird. How can they do that without Styx's permission?
I don't think they can, so Styx buys into it.
That's not cool. They shouldn't slam it on one hand and use it to promote on the other.

They've done it before. Do you actually forget that Styx is a business venture? They're not doing this for kicks. JY may want to hate Roboto, but it's clear they have no problem marketing or licensing it. So be it.

I don't have a problem with it.

No different than Dennis using the similar logo with "Lady" in it instead of Styx.

Personally I'm just glad that finally they are getting some recognition like the other classic rock groups when it comes to mass market selling.

And no matter how hard they might want to try, some things will always be indelibly linked to all of them...good and bad.

I saw that in Target on Monday. I would've bought it if it didn't have the "domo...." slogan on it. :(

I also came close to buying this one:

I have an "I'm with the Band" shirt - it's much prettier than that one ;-)

Sandi has one that says "I don't do roadies."

I bought this shirt for my girlfriend last week and she wore it the next day. I would love to see more shirts like this, but it would be nice to include the men!

Actually, a few years back the company Junk Food who makes retro/trendy t-shirts "reissued" licensed versions of both Paradise Theater and Main Event concert shirts for men and women. The PT ones were only for women.

Here's an example of the '78 repro for women:

Hey, there are decisions made by the band that I don't agree with. Many of them. Most here would view me as a strong DeYoungian. And yeah, some members of the band have "slagged" the song. That being said, I suppose if they endorsed this, they chose something that caters to the classic lineup base without having to acknowledge Mr. DeYoung. I'd have definitely preferred a shirt with a classic concert series, but I think they'd have a much harder time pulling that off under the circumstances. This skirts it.

The shirt in and of itself does little for me.

As with so much else with this band, they make choices that leave some portion of their fan base wondering "why". No different here.

Yet another example of JY's ridiculous hypocrisy. He continue to profit from things like this while at the same time taking a symbolic dump on everything the band produced before 2000.

I'm not going to line JY's coke-filled pockets with more cash by buying one of these.

Well I'm sure Target wouldn't be selling these shirts if there was anything illegal/violating copyright issues. They are too big a company to be selling merchandise that isn't 100% legal.

It's not like they are Walmart or anything! :P
