By the way, Tony looks like he stepped off the set of Deliverance. If he isn't cutting his hair until he wins, it's going to be as long as Perry's Departure look. I am shocked the Home Depot allows that. Lowe's has strict policy with Johnson on his looks.

I'm not so sure it's have a chance to grow that long. Those JGR Toyotas are looking pretty good right now.
They won't ever run well at tracks like Cali or Vegas but wait til we get to the road courses and places like
Bristol.

I used to like Tony, but I hate his fat ass now. He along with the Busch bothers can kiss my ass. Gordon too. I hate the 24. And I really hate the 88 and all his redneck buttfucking sisters and brothers. I hate Pablo Montoyo too along with that POS Ragan. Fuck all those Fords too. Basically I hate em all except JJ.

JJ would suck too if he didn't have CK. Kyle may do it this year and I really hate the fucker. What happened with Tony? I thought you liked fat people? :)

Even without Chad Knaus, JJ would be racking up the wins. Dude's a monster, CK just adds to the destruction!

Bullshit.
If JJ wasn't in a HMS car w/CK as his crew chief, he'd be stuck in the middle of the pack.
Shit, you could put a monkey behind the wheel of one of those HMS cars and they'd be successful.
HMS has their shit together, with JGR right behind.

Not quite. Chad Knaus happens to be the brightest CC and Jimmie Johnson is simply the smartest driver. He races for points when he has to, and goes for wins when he can. Carl, did you see him win 4 in a row in the Chase last year? Could have and should have been 5 in a row, but the 24 fucked that up at Talledega.

In the song Rick gets frustrated cause girls and everyone else calls him "Bruce" all the time (thinking hes springsteen)

I reckon Arnel will have a similar experience. The die hard fans are gonna argue and never agree. The rest of the world -the casual fans, the concert goers, will look up and say, theres Steve Perry. They'll go to work the next day and say enjoyed Journey, that Perry guy's still got it.

Sadly I think this to be the truth........but maybe not so with his nose noticeable.
Most that have an image of Perry in their mind, have visuals linked to his beak.

However it does not change my stance in the whole scenario.

Maybe the band doesn't give a shit about threatening his precious legacy, either, just going about their business as entitled.

Interesting statement and question. They long lost the title "artists". They dont give a shit about anything except for how much more they can drag out of fans. They are going to countries they may not have played before to try and get even more. These 2 dead cows are nothing better than 2 old pro's out prostituting for every last dime they can. They will find any "Jon" anywhere to get a buck from. AP is just a cheap lure, they dont have to promise him anything.

Is SP jealous? - HELL NO
Is SP threatened? - You have got to be freaking kidding me. Dumb and Dumber gave their "fans" exactly what they wanted - a sound a like,(many many AP lovers have called him that) that will con alot of people into to concerts. AP was hired to imitate and thats all he really can do. There has been no NEW MUSIC for him to show ANYONE what he can do. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery and no matter how well you imitate you can never replace the original.

Hope everyone has fun in Vegas. Oh while your there, after catching the Steve Perry Impersonation show, run and catch the Elvis one too. (they give out free drinks)
When in doubt, DUCK!

Yanno.. HMS isn't all that super. T. Labonte was one hell of a driver, but instead of equalizing the money poured into each car, they poured it all into one little shithead's pos. Team in indicative of "everyone" and on that team (even though JJ is top dog right now) there is only one driver that they think will keep their bacon fryin. Give it another year, maybe two and they'll begin neglecting the four in order to pour ALL the funds back into that little shit's car again.
I wholeheartedly believe the ptb should have CAPPED the amount of cars per "team" to two, back when this idea was first thought of. At this point we have little shits who couldn't drive themselves around a damned matchbox car track cloggin up the back end of these badass (or what used to be) races in order to hold the way for their own team money dogs. Isn't racin and never will be. Damnit! We need another Sr. out there bustin people up again!

And Dean, don't paint baby Busch with the same brush you're painting the drunk with. Totally different people and the kid has what it takes. God I miss Rusty!

Answer this question and you'll have your answer:

Will Elvis Presley see any of the Elvis impersonators as a threat to his legacy?

No one could ever destroy Perry's legacy in my book. He's the best rock vocalist in history as far as I am concerned. It doesn't matter what Neal, Jon, or Ross do. They have no power over Perry's legacy.

As for performing new songs live, only a handful of artists even attempt that anymore, because everytime a band says, "here is something new" the place empties out. Besides Bruce and U2, who else plays something "new" live for the fan? Hell, Neal and Cain have been as you say, in every joint in America. Would you rather play Hollywood Bowl or Pete's burger bar? The Journey name still carries tons of weight, and yes, Perry is responsible for at least half of it. However, two things here. 1- They are entitled to use it, and 2- Perry has the option of coming back and either resurrecting it or adding to it, and sadly he chooses neither. His choice and I respect it. But I also respect the fact that no one member "owns" the name of the band.

The bold text from your reply above Dean is the EXACT reason why I have lost respect for this band and why I feel they are making a mistake now and have been for a decade or so.

Music is (or should be) ART FIRST. Money and success should follow the creation of valuable ART.

8)

Oh come on. Not all music should be regarded as art. Some of it is pure entertainment and nothing more. Think pro wrestling. Its not a serious sport, its sports entertainment.

As good as it is Journey's music is not art in the same way as say Springsteen's or Neil Young's but it is a damn sight more entertaining! There is no serious artistic meaning or message in the majority of Journey's output unless of course you count the 'message of love'!

That being said I regard both Schon and Perry as artists of the very highest calibre in their respective fields.

I await the witty response and frankly overused cool shades emoticon with baited breath!
