I just got done watching ABC News, and they broke down the 12 remaining contests left between Clinton and Obama. They basically have said that if Hillary sweeps all 12 contests with a 55% margin (very unlikely), Obama's delegate count would be 1841 versus 1793 for Hillary. If Obama sweeps the 12 remainings contests with a 55% margin (again, very unlikely), he would be ahead in the delegate count 1902 versus 1732. This means regardless of what happens from here on, it is VERY unlikely that either candidate will reach the 2024 delegate count, needed to secure the nomination. They also said it is very unlikely the super delegates will elect the person with the fewer number of delegates, because of the backlash it would cause. It doesn't look like this thing is ending anytime soon. This is looking more and more likely to be an Obama/Hillary ticket.
One final note...ABC took a poll (I realize polls don't mean much) of the general election. It had Obama beating McCain 52%-40%, and Hillary beating McCain 50%-44%. I suspect if it's a combined ticket, the margin of victory will only grow! W. just endorsed McCain today...I'd run like hell from that endorsement! That's the ultimate kiss of death! Nothing like having the president with the lowest approval rating, EVER, tell the country that "This is who you should vote for"! I think someone should tell W. that we stopped listening to him years ago!
