I don't know why............

Postby ohsherrie » Tue Apr 01, 2008 7:35 am

..........this shit still amazes me but it does.

I haven't read every post in every thread on this board relating to the interview, but I've read a lot. I've yet to see a post by a Perry fan expressing any outrage about what was said. I've read a few negative comments, and they were justified, but no "loonacy" on anybody's part.

I'm reading quite a lot of "lunacy" on the part of the Herbie defenders though.

Lora and Cyndy posted their response to the interview as is their right as posters on this board, and set off more controversy than the interview itself did.

Think about that people.

The Perry fans pretty much took the interview in stride because they know what to expect from the source. The Perry detractors are raising hell though, because Lora and Cyndy responded in Steve's favor.

But the Perry fans are the "loons"?

Carry on. I have nothing more to say.

Ah Hell, if history on these boards has taught me anything, it is this.

every one is a Perry Fan whether they act the part or not.

If he decided to come out with new music and perhaps tour, everyone would have a smile on their face, high fiving and be jumping back on board as if they never skipped a beat.

Christ, if he even released a mini CD with some sort of statement to the fans everyone would go ga ga. :P

The dude walked away and left everyone in a funk, that is why people act the way they do, everyone is a fucked up mess across the board.

Everyone's each and every day is based on what Perry did at one time, or what he may or may not do in the future. Think that is Bullshit? then why do you log in each and every week to these boards, and why is it that you sing cAPTURED BY tHE mOMENT WHILE soaking in the hot tub or tubby tub.
Because you are all fucked up journey fans, and our leader is in limbo.

Oh and SJ, don't tell me any different, you would be front row Bro!

If he decided to sing live again and it was the same day as my funeral, I would not go to my own funeral to see the guy.

STEVE PERRY WAS AND IS THE BIGGEST VOICE EVER IN MUSIC, ALWAYS WILL BE AND EAT SHIT IF YOU DISAGREE. AND IF YOU DON'T AGREE GET IN THE GOONEY GOO GOO MOBILE AND GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY POST. :D

OH, SHIT, THIS ISN'T MY POST.........

Think about it..think about what some men on this board say and post...even the pictures they post...the way they argue with women and in the manner they speak to them... with your experience with your ex..you've had to have noticed the same type of behavior exhibited with some here. There are several here that have tried to browbeat women into submission. ...they know it works with some and that it scares others away from speaking their minds. Then when a strong woman stands up to them and gives it back to them they call her names and try to turn the tables on them ...make it look like they are the one with the problem. If a woman fights back then she is labled a bitch, crazy, pms'ing, menopausal, stupid, etc. Some men look at it as an attack on their machismo if they feel a woman is gaining the upper hand and is intelligent....they also don't like being called on their behavior. Another aspect are that others, who may not agree with what some men do and say, will either stand back and not say anything because they want to remain in good standing in the good ole boy network....they worry more about being "one of the guys" instead of doing the right thing and standing up to what they know is wrong...they don't see that it shows more masculinity to show some heart and depth of character. There are also those, who maybe would not do so in their day to day lives, but will on this board, even join in and assimilate the same type of behavior from peer pressure to try to fit in and be one of the guys. They also keep the "guy code" and not speak against others...and in that way uphold them in their actions.
I could go on but I don't want to be accused of beating up on the guys...so..want to discuss what some of the women's issues are now?  8)

Still trying to play the victim, huh TVL, Its funny how you try to say that someone You have an issue with has a problem with all woman(a very skewed view to say the least)

It looks to me that Tvl (blueskies)shows to have an extreme problem with any man or woman(for that matter) who puts her in her place ,or calls her on her derogatory remarks made toward anyone that she deems beneath her because they dont aspire to the same beliefs or behaviors that she does.

Your statement above could easily be viewed as one which has contempt for a number of men, trying to label them as Misogynistic. My guess is right now many people could be looking at you as a man hater.

[/b]Do you ever think before you post?

There is a lot of great woman on this site, i've been lucky to talk to many of them here and via pm. they all have many qualities that any guy would appreciate. The best quality they have is that they are not negative and don't put people down all the time, one quality you do not possess.Your always looking to put someone down, especially men.

Your latest victim DC(dave)...Trying to make him out to be this horrible person/father,I think a little introspection would do you a world of good. Unfortunately , my guess is you will continue to deny and deflect both my suggestions and all the other MR posters that have tried to get you to change you ways.

Steve Perry & Steve Perry ALONE is the sole reason that Journey made it as BIG as they did.

Shit ya Neal can play as can the others.

But there is literally millions of really good guitar players.

Like a lot of you I am still waiting for Fusion to catch fire.

I don't agree with everything that HH said. But one thing I do agree with him on is that it is easier to replace Steve Perry than it is to replace Neal Schon. And I am a huge Steve Perry fan.

YULOG!!!!.....biggest women hater I've ever run across. There are several others who also exhibit some of these traits on this board...a little introspection would do them well. Post of the year, Liz!

They say misery loves company...just not yours

Well..speak of the devil... ..First off..learn how to use the quote function..looks like you should spent more time on that rather then photoshopping peoples pic's.
I really shouldn't address you at all because I think you get off on it and that thought creeps me out to no end...but since I named you as I see you I will for now..
You always put that same crap out there...playing the victim. Paleeeezzze  That doesn't hold water. I can only be a victim if I allow myself to be victimized, which, much to your chagrin, I do not allow. I speak my opinions and give back what is given, so I hardly can be called a victim. Do you really believe you have that kind of power over me? If you do then your also dillusional as well as the other behaviors you exhibit.....and here you go again exhibiting most of numbers 1 thru 26 of that list. Instead of addressing your own issues you try to shift the focus onto me...away from your own behavior, even though it is on this board for all to see exactly what I mean. So sorry Yulog..you cannot "put me in my place"....that suggestion alone speaks to the behavior on that list.
As far as looking at others as beneath me and thinking they should agree and think as I do..no, you are mistaken. I state my opinion like everyone else..it doesn't mean what I say has to be agreed with..so get off it..that is what debate is for and what everyone does on a message board...everyone, not just me.
As far as contempt for men...you are completely off base with that...I have always had many male friends and get along great with men...actually have more male friends then female and I raised 3 sons who I am very proud of. So this is again a misconception that you try to portray. I don't have contempt for a number of men...only misogynist men such as yourself.
You have been on my back every since I posted some picture's of art in your attention seeking, self indulgent, demented thread. You feel the need to bring your abherent compulsions to a music board instead of leaving it where you find it. Why? Speaks volumes about you, ya know. You just don't like me calling you on it do you. I have zero respect for you, but that doesn't make me a hater of all men. I do have respect for men who know how to act like one and not as a Neanderthal.

As far as being negative and putting people down, you don't know what your talking about...ask around...I think you will find that I have been supportive of many...have been nice..overly nice at times and have given to several also...and quite a lot to a few...in many ways. I don't do it for anything in return nor for any kind of recognition...I do for others because I care...so you don't know what your saying and you haven't really talked to people as you say you have..or even though you may be aware of it you choose to ignore it because it doesn't suit your purposes in attacking me, does it.
Oh, yes..Dave..got busy and forgot about that thread because I have a life and don't dwell on you like you do me. You just immediately sprang to mind today when Liz posted that list in reference to some who post here...but back to Dave...
Dave is not my "victim"..my pointing out how he conducts himself in public is only to serve him well if he chooses to heed the advice. He is a family man and as the man of the family he should conduct himself in public with a little more dignity, IMO...not to signal him out...this is how all men should conduct themselves..married, single..as businessmen, fathers, husband's, sons..citizens..whoever...all men are representative of their family name. He represent's his family and as a father that his children look to and emulate, he should think of how he is viewed ..the way he wants to represent. My view's of men are that they are responsible in their conduct and are the head of the household, therefore they should act according and responsibly. Those that do are the men I admire.
My guess is my suggestions will not be considered and no introspection will occur...sadly, our society has eroded to such a degree by people like yourself that I sometime's lose hope that it will ever improve, but if no one's says anything and just sits back and lets it happen..don't stand up in the face of adversity and protest against the wrong's, then we only can blame ourselves for sitting back and saying and doing nothing about it. So go ahead and continue to try to shift the focus onto me..because you have to..there is no justifiable defense for your behavior.
