Yeah, lots of tears rolling during a pack of dry heaves.Monstrock wrote:I wonder if this is Sushi Hunter's favorite cover band.
Hell no! I could only watch about 44 seconds into that clip before that was enough. I'll give it another shot and listen to how well the band plays the music. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they probably do songs in their native tongue much better.
Update: O.k. I listened for a while longer....but still haven't build up a tolerance to listen to it to the end. One thing I can say is the real talent I see right now is the chick backup vocalist. Reason being, she does harmonize correctly and does so to a singer that sucks at English. I know in my experiences, the most challenging is to harmonize with someone who can't sing. It's like you have to sing off key to harmonize with the person who's singing off key. Very difficult for me to do that because I am so connected to the notes that are being played with the instruments.

This clip features an American rock song....so it doesn't count in my criteria for Japanese.

Reason being, she had to compensate her notes and timing to harmonize correctly to a singer that sucks at English. I know from my experiences, the most challenging is to harmonize with someone who can't sing in key and/or on time. Because I have had to in the past sing off key and out of timing in order to harmonize with a lead vocalist who was singing off key and off time. Very difficult for me to do that because I am so connected to the notes and timing of the instruments being played.
