OT-GNR Axl blowing smoke again?

Postby Angiekay » Tue Apr 08, 2008 12:19 am

Singer Axl Rose has reportedly been letting music industry executives and tastemakers listen to six new songs from the long-delayed Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy, according to E! Online. One exec who heard the tracks said, "It's really good. Axl's voice sounds exactly the same, but the songs sound contemporary. You expect it to be a train wreck, but it's not." The listening sessions, along with the recent announcement that Rose and the band have signed with new management, have fired up speculation that the reclusive frontman may finally be readying Chinese Democracy for release sometime in 2008.

Rose revealed last month that he had signed with the management team of Irving Azoff and Andy Gould. Azoff represents the Eagles, Van Halen and Stone Temple Pilots, while Gould is Rob Zombie's longtime manager and producer of all three of his feature films.
Guns N' Roses has been without management since December of 2006, when Rose fired manager Merck Mercuriadis.

That's because the vocals were recorded 15 years ago... :)

Seriously, I do hope it finally comes out, and it seems more likely than ever this time...

That is disgusting that they'd list STP and not Journey.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Hopefully someone like Azoff won't take Axl's crap and will push him to release the dang product. Not that I'm buying it...

i think guns n roses should reunite,i was walking in the mall and passed spencers and they had an appetite for destruction t-shirt right there in the window.of course i bought it.besides journey, kiss and motley crue i'd probably put guns n roses in my top five favorite bands.this band had two albums in the top five at the same time not once but twice, only other band to ever do that was the beatles.
