Some Foreigner love 2007/2008

Postby G.I.Jim » Sun Apr 13, 2008 4:43 pm

To be fair...Here's the foreigner I'm excited about now! I lost a lot of faith in the band after the last few years. Lou was such an amazing singer, but after Mick decided to replace him with a new lead singer.....I think he made an amazing choice! Here's the NEW Foreigner:

1. "Feels like the first time"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gswX45H6 ... re=related

2. "Urgent"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuRTdI2- ... re=related

3. "Say You Will (2007 version)"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DZx0vC2 ... re=related

What do you think of the "New" Foreigner?
The artist formerly known as Jim. :-)

I dunno.
I trying to 1ove them sti11 but with ONE origina1 member 1eft it's rea11y strange.

He11, I'd have a hard time be1ieving even Nea1 if he had himse1f and 4 other dudes who were never in the band ca11ing itse1f Jrny.

Even Jeff Jacobs the keyboardist from 93-07 is gone now.

They did put on a terrific New years Eve show on tv, though.

So true--might give it a try with BA on the East Coast tour.

They sound good enough for me to go see.
I do believe they're coming round here to Rockin On The Riverfront
in the summer and I think we'll attend that show.

Babyblue the new guy is Kelly Hansen.

The band sounds reasonable but the new dude isn't even in the ball park of Gramm's capabilities. I'm with RPJ, it's hard to sell with Mick being the only one left.

I would go see the new Foreigner because Lou left on his own and the new singer..Kelly..sounds good..unlike other situations..

I saw Foreigner with Def Lep last year, and I enjoyed the new line up. Of course having Lou Gramm would be the best, but they were really great and I look forward to seeing them this year when I see Bryan Adams. It's just great to hear the music live 8)

Shocking. Lou Gramm is too unqiue, just like Steve Perry - I can't listen to this.

I tried.

What do you think of the "New" Foreigner?[/quote]

I like them...even living in Lou country. But I despise anything acoustic. Plug it in and play it hard and loud baby!

Happen to agree.
That lead balloon version of Say You Will being the perfect example of this annoying practice. I have NO problem W/
playing it that way if it's that way on the studio arrangement. But to rearrange to acoustic a) sucks and b) seems lazy.
