Has to be Phi1ade1phia.
No tit1es since Vi11anova in '85, no PRO ones since the Sixers in '83.

Thank God for Penn State having the best teams in the nation in '86 and '94 possib1y even '05 by the end.

I can't believe Chicago isn't in the top ten. Its those stupid-ass Bulls. They went and won 6 titles in the 90s, and took away our right to complain about not having any titles in any of the GOOD sports. Yeah I know. We just had a title in '05. But that was only the White Sox. They don't count.

One day... onnnnnne daaaaaay... Lord Stanley WILL return to us. Don't Stop Believing! (ah fuck... wrong team...)

I can't believe Cleveland is only #8!!

Browns- Last championship 1964
Indians- Haven't won the world series since 1948
Cavaliers- Never won a championship.

You're lucky you don't live in Cleveland, you'd probably have hung yourself. Haven't even looked at the list yet, but since someone said Cleveland was #8 this list has no credibility. I have suffered for all 22 years of my life waiting for a title.

Well I've got 10 more years on you, but let me tell you, you certainly havent missed anything in those 10 years. At least you are too young to have remembered The Drive, The Fumble, and The Shot, although I'm sure you've probably seen them and heard about them enough times to seem like you were actually there! 38 years and counting here!! We've been so close sooo many times. The Kardiac Kids, Bernie's AFC title games, Cavs losing to Jordan EVERY flippin year, Tribe losing in '95 and breaking our hearts needing only 1 strike to win it in '97! LeBron last season and the Tribe having a 3-1 lead on the BoSox in the ALCS last season! AARRGGHH! Not to mention the last 2 BCS games for OSU and the basketball title game last season. I know they're not Cleveland, but there OURS dammit!! :D

BTW- The other thing that makes this list in-credible (as opposed to incredible) is the fact that they have Denver on the list in 7th. Denver?? They won 2 Superbowls in the late 90's and didn't they win an NHL title recently too?? They have no business being on that list!! PS- I STILL HATE ELWAY!! :)

Those guys got out of DODGE w/ one yesterday.

Former Penn QB Mark DeRosa "fouls" a homerun off

Much as I dig Chase Utley, he can be a downright butcher in the field at times.

The Cubs will win the title the day Steve Perry sings the National Anthem at game 7.

Dude...Boston hasn't won the cup since 1972! Enjoy the trophies your city has managed to win! I've resigned myself that the Bruins will suck FOREVER, or until Jerry Jacobs (their scumbag owner from Buffalo) gets hit by a bus

I'll guarantee you that one of the Cleveland teams wins a championship in the next couple of years.

Right now all 3 of the major sports teams in Cleveland are serious contenders for a title.

Wait a minute! The only way the Cubs are winning a Game 7 of the World Series is if they happen to be playing Cleveland. In that case, it better be in Cleveland so i can at least say I got to see Perry sing the National Anthem before I watched the Tribe blow another Series!

You're smoking crack if you think the Cadeavers are getting anywhere near a title, with or without LeBron. They had their run last year, and that was it! I suspect they won't get by the Wizards this season. As for the Browns...um NO! I'm not sure where you think all these "stud" players on the Browns are. I watch A LOT of football, and I'm telling you that the Browns are NOWHERE near a championship. As for the Indians...I think they have a decent team, but are off to a horrendous start. I think the Indians have the best shot of all the Cleveland teams, and they're still not even the best team in their own division!

For some dumb reason the Cleveland media seems to love to constantly show replays of The drive, The Fumble, The Shot and Jose Mesa's choke job.

Recently the Plain Dealer said that no Cleveland sports team has won a title since the Browns in 64. But as you pointed out the Force and Crunch did win titles. I know that's not the same as the big 3 teams, but still, they should at least aknowlege those other titles.

The "Force and Crunch"???? Are you freakin' serious??? It sounds like a Kellogg's cereal! Because I don't live in Cleveland, I am going to assume that these are MINOR LEAGUE teams. No cities with ANY self-respect are going to be bragging about their minor league teams' championships (especially cities that actually have major league teams)! Not to mention that not a person outside of Cleveland (and probably half the people in Cleveland) have never even heard of the teams you're speaking of! That's simply embarrassing! Next thing you know, you'll be suggesting your hometown teams should be raising banners for winning their division

I don't expect the Cavs to win a title this year. But we recently cleared a lot of cap space, and will be able to upgrade for next year. And you can forget about the Celtics winning a title this year, because even if they make it to the Finals they will still lose to the Western team they play.

A few months ago I would have agreed that the Indians have the best shot of winning a title of the Cleveland teams, but with the moves the Browns have made recently their going to be a power to be reckoned with.

And yes, the Indians are the best team in the AL Central. It's definitely not the Tigers.

The Force and the Crunch were Cleveland's MISL soccer teams, they won several championships.

And I said that I know it's not a big deal like it would be with the Browns, Indians and cavs. my point was that the news paper should at least aknowlege those titles, which they didn't.

Listen Lake Erie Boy...I don't recall coming in here predicting the Celtics were winning a title. That said, I can GUARANTEE you that they have a FAR better shot of hoisting banner #17 than the Cadeavers have of getting out of the second round of the playoffs!

Journey/Survivor wrote: because even if they make it to the Finals they will still lose to the Western team they play.

Yeah you're right, Jamison dude...they have no shot! They should probably just not show up. Listen, if you want to hate Boston teams, go right ahead. Just bring something to the table, other than moronic comments! The Celtics record against the west this season is 25-5, so I'm pretty sure that they're not shaking in their Nikes to face ANY western conference team! The Celtics have the best record in the NBA, and 9 more wins than ANY team, in the entire western conference. If you seriously think they have no shot, you're delusional!

Journey/Survivor wrote:with the moves the Browns have made recently their going to be a power to be reckoned with.

The Browns won't finish in the top 4 teams in the entire AFC, GUARANTEED! I promise you the Browns aren't winning a championship, any time soon!

Journey/Survivor wrote:And yes, the Indians are the best team in the AL Central. It's definitely not the Tigers.

You can't predict ANY team is the "best", after just two weeks into a VERY long season! I can tell you this...If you're comment about Cleveland being "the best team in the AL Central" is based upon the players they have, I disagree, 100%! On paper, Detroit has FAR more talent, even though they have been HORRENDOUS to this point. If you're basing it on current record...think again! The only team in the central with a worse record than Cleveland right now is Detroit!

I can think of 2 AFC teams better than the Browns right now...the Boston CHEATERS and their lovable douchebag leader that couldn't win dick when he was coaching here and the Colts. Tell me who else is CLEARLY better?? Steelers?? HA! Not this year! Chargers?? Maybe. Titans? Not yet. Jaguars?? No. Not in the top 4?? We'll see!!

Agree Cavs won't get past round 2 this year...but we will win round 1 (Wizards talk too much smack for never winning anything) and take the Celts to 6 or 7 before bowing out.

Indians?? We had a good run but we need a few things...A FREAKIN CLOSER!! Never liked him last year (blown 2 already in a week...including tonight to another lovable loser from Boston...Manny! Actually I still kinda like him!!) We need an outfielder with some power and a 3rd baseman. It's a long year!

Unfortunately...I feel Boston may win 2 titles this year. I hope not of course, but they have some damn good teams!

Colts and Pats are obviously better. I'd also have to say that SD and JAX are better than the Browns as well. We'll see how this year plays out.
No predictions yet except for the Cowboys winning the East again. :-)
