Just one day before Motley Crue's scheduled Tuesday (April 15th) press conference in Los Angeles to make its "colossal" announcement, Ticketmaster.com has posted information on its Crue artist page about what is indeed apparently called "Cruefest." The page lists that dates will be announced shortly and indicates that Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx: A.M. and Trapt are all slated to appear on the bill. Meanwhile, dates in July and August have also been unofficially leaked through various online sources. Representatives for the band have to this point denied the "Cruefest" name and have not confirmed any of the acts involved.
All will be revealed at 4 p.m. PT on Tuesday when the Crue begins its press conference. The event will be broadcast live on the Fuse music channel and webcast by MSN.com and Blabbermouth.
The Crue will also perform Tuesday night on ABC-TV's Jimmy Kimmel Live.
In other news, sources have told Pollstar.com that Motley Crue will also announce a so-called "360 deal" with Live Nation similar to the massive deals that the concert promotion organization has signed in recent months with Madonna, Jay-Z and U2. The Crue has also denied this information.
"Saints of Los Angeles," the first single from the upcoming Crue album of the same name, was released over the weekend. The CD, the first from the original Crue lineup in 11 years, is due out in early July.
The following "Cruefest" dates are unconfirmed:
