I think he can sing the hell out of a ballad, but he won't lead this band anywhere. His accent is too distracting, and there isn't so much as a wax paper thin pretext of artistic integrity with his hiring. At least with Augeri we could pretend he was hired on the grounds of his AOR music bonafides. This guy is hired because he does a mean Steve Perry impression - plain and simple.

Cain and mngt. have this band in an effective creative deathroll, and Neal has bellyed up to the bar to drink the jesus juice.

Sure, but was anyone here really expecting Arnel to become a legend? I suspect he is a nervous wreck and that likely has more to do with his stumbling than the inability to speak English. His English needs work, but when he is in his comfort zone, he speaks much better. Put yourself in his shoes... how confident/comfortable would you be?
