That is frightening! 3 Walmarts!

Pretty much my thought too after reading the post..

I have two. Speaking of which, $55 spent today. A good percentage of it in non edible goods. I usually buy store brands, and those are creeping up.

No luck at either of the WalMarts I tried in Central NY today. However, I did notice that they are stocking up with catalog product and it's priced at both stores for only FIVE bucks! I found copies of Escape and Evolution only. I am sure the rest of the catalog will be there on Tuesday at this price point. Same thing happened when the Eagles album came out-WM had all the back catalog extensively stocked and priced low.

These were the reissues that came out last year, btw. Albeit they are in regular jewel cases and not the digipak cardboard that they originally came out in. So glad I waited to pick some of these titles up that I needed to replace!

Haha, I had quite the conversation when I was at Wal-Mart today and asked them when they would have Revelation on the shelves on Tuesday. First the guy said, "are you talking about the video game?" Then when I explained it was a music album, he said "so you're talking about a remake, right? Because Journey..."

I then informed him that it's a new album, coming out on Tuesday, and it's a Wal-Mart exclusive. "Oh, I didn't know that," he said.

After he asked about 12 people, he told me between 7 and 8 a.m.

Ok, I'm going to Wal-Mart right now. Everyone is just sitting around at my house and I'm bored... I'll be back and report what I've found, or more likely what I didn't find. :(

He's going to propose a carbon tax on all Journey fans who go looking for the CD before the release date. Especially Barb since she seems to want to waste gas for nothing and spew forth more CO2.

Did they have the big banners along the shelves advertising Revelation? They were all over the place at the one I went to today.

And, BTW, I was going there anyway and decided to look for the CD, since I was already there...

No. They had six copies of TBF and one Essential Journey. There was no banners along the shelves. It was quite depressing. They had 2 full rows of Spanish music and one of mainstream music. That Wal-Mart may not get Revelation at all.

Did you go to a Supercenter or a regular Walmart?

I'm thinking that all the Supercenters will carry it.

I only know of 2 Wal-Marts within 30 miles of where I live or work and neither one is a Super Center. Hopefully the one I ordered on line will show up on Tuesday.

I covered all the bases. I was notified that "musicshop" (the official store) had shipped the CD/T-shirt combo on 5/30 and WalMart notification was shipping on 5/31. So by God I better have one of them in my mailbox when I get off work Monday!!!! I might still go to Walmart on the way to work Tuesday just to check it out since I now may need a few extra copies.

Sorry, but I'm calling bullshit on this fairy tale. The CDs won't even arrive at stores until Monday. Monday delivery has been an industry standard for years now, to prevent any outlets putting new product on the shelves over the weekend prior to the official release date, hence Tuesday being normal release day for virtually all new music product.

;^)

bullshit.....right.

Assuming the implication that there were multiple copies there to begin with, that premise is even more far-fetched.

Trust me on this, guys. The OP is engaging in some major chain-yanking...

Since you have a copy, could you possibly share how many songs are on the dvd?
I'm really curious.
