Slow News Cycle

Let's Review:

Styx:

- Has indicated putting out new Music is a low priority
- ( in my opinion) Have pretty much exhausted the Compilation/Live CD/Live DVD/Covers Marketplace
- Is focused on touring, with basically the same show they've had for several years.

DDY:
- Is focusing on Hunchback
- Will eventually release 100 Years From Now, but not anytime soon.
- Will continue to do the occasional Live show, most shows in Driving Distance from his home.

So what we have is the Status Quo, which ( again in my Opinion ) leaves us with a problem. What the hell do we talk about on this board ??? We've beaten the DDY Styx reunion possibility well past the point of death, JY bashing seems just as stale, and there doesnt seem to be any possibilities of personnel changes on the horizon, nor any new songs, except for the 1 track forthcoming on US - 100 years.

Does anybody have information of any kind that contradicts (SIC) the statements above ?
Just curious.

Styx will have an album out sometime this year. They are currently in the demo stages.

I happen to like Status Quo a lot. Much like Styx, they were one of those bands that most people liked, but wouldn't admit it publicly. They also sold an obscene amount of albums back in their heyday.

believe me, i know my Styx

You've about covered it. We shall see if Mr. Status and Mr. Quo continue traveling on this track.

Change your hairdo. Change your name.
Congratulations! You're still the same.

Which is one of his dreams :D

- Will eventually release 100 Years From Now, but not anytime soon.

What is soon? I'm sure he'll be in the studio with his "duet" partner soon :D

- Will continue to do the occasional Live show, most shows in Driving Distance from his home.

I personally like the shows that are driving distance from his home, it works out for me  Yikes, I'm pretty sure he doesn't drive to Canada for all of those dates that are posted and of course he won't be driving to Europe for those dates. 8)

There's no problem for me, I'm sure I can think of a lot of things to talk about, Dennis and Styx related. LOL :D

Only 1 new track on the US 100 Years? I thought maybe 3. 100 Years duet and 2 others, a rock song and a ballad.
