David Paich/Moody Blues

I don't know very much about the Moody Blues, but a friend of mine was playing the song, "Once Upon A Time" for me a while back, and it hit me that the vocalist on that song sounded like a dead ringer for Paich.. Has anyone else ever thought this?

Well As I

Well, as I said, I don't know very much about the Moody Blues, and as it turns out, I actually had the name of the song I was talking about incorrect.. it's "Your Wildest Dreams".. I don't have a direct link, but I'm sure it could be sampled on one of their greatest hits on Amazon.com. The first time my friend played the song for me, I wondered if maybe David stepped in as a guest vocalist for the track.

Alright, here's a link to sample it on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Best-Moody-Blues/ ... 386&sr=1-1

The sample is mostly music, but give it a couple seconds and you'll hear the singer..

That would be Justin Hayward.

If you wanna hear another great song with his singing, check out "Forever Autumn" from the original "War Of The Worlds" album by Jeff Wayne.

Justin Hayward is a seriously underrated musician. I saw the Moodies last summer and they're still rockin hard. As for the Paich comparison on Wildest Dreams... eh, maybe. It's sung in a similar register but aside from that I'm not sure I hear it. Great song though.

I like their "Blue World" tune. Perhaps he's a mix between Alan Parson's project and David Paich. 8)
