Luke coming to my backyard

Postby Ehwmatt » Sun Jul 20, 2008 12:33 am

I just saw, much to my surprise, that Luke is coming to a TINY little bar about 20 minutes from me in August. This place used to get some great acts like Al Stewart, Ambrosia, and Bernie Leadon (former Eagles guitarist/singer on "My Man"), but they haven't had shit in the last two years. I can't wait. This place is so intimate, I'll probably literally end up a couple feet from Luke. Frankly, I'm surprised this place can even afford to book Luke. But man, it's gonna be great.

Oh you can bet I'll have a great time. I was shocked - I didn't think he was coming to the states til well after summer ended. I'll post a review here eventually. Show's not til aug 22nd so it'll be a while.

The closest Luke will get to my backyard is about 500 miles away, but I still might make it anyway!

Ehwmatt, is this OH or PA that you're talking about? If you're talking Ohio, I'm in the Columbus area, and it would def be worth the drive to Cleveland to see Luke.

Cleveland. It's in Lakewood, OH. Little place called the Winchester. August 22nd. Definitely think about it, if you're in the worst seat in the house you'll still be close enough to see the sweat bead off the bands' heads.

Anybody know if Australia is on the cards for this tour?

I know from past tours that it costs SO much for TOTO to come, I would assume the cost may be smaller - but still substantial?

Andrew, any idea?

I know Nashville is in the South and the south is scary, but I'm still surprised he's not coming anywhere near here. I'd think he'd do pretty well given how many musicians are in this town. I want to go to Indy but since I've been unemployed for 7 months I don't think I can afford the gas to make it there. (and even if i found a job before then, i doubt i could pull that off on a Wednesday)

Fucking sucks...i want to see this tour so badly.

Since Toto never came within 300 miles of me that I know of since I've followed the band, this is the least I could get. Luke & Co are definitely pretty elusive. I'm so pumped.
