I wish Dennis would just scrap the idea of doing 100 Year from Now as a duet for the US version. I think the song is better with just him. i have heard the song a couple of times live now, it is totally a killer tune, usually people make a break for the restrooms during new songs, but not on this one. Dennis brings the house down on this song.

Agreed, that French guy sounds like such a fruitcake on the recording. The live version of it kills. In fact, why not just release the album in the US with a live cut of 100 Years?

Am I reading that right?? 15 cents per track? weird...

Seems like it'd be on Itunes by now too.

Oh God, you just made me spit out my tea all over the monitor, LOL!!!! The Quebecois really love that guy. I'm pretty neutral on him myself. But yeah, just Dennis on that song is fine.

I'm going to assume that Dennis knows what he's going (he's been doing it for years, after all!!!) and the new duet will be worth the wait. :-)

lol, glad I could give you a laugh. I don't know if you've heard the song live but it's incredible. The weird flute-sounding synth lead after the chorus is converted to shred guitar and the younger guitarist (not Tommy) just goes nuts shredding on the song the whole time. Everything just sounds big and urgent. I'd be just fine with a live cut of the song on the U.S. version.

Count me in on one of those who likes the live recording (maybe he should just use that on the US release and call it a "bonus track").

I kind of like the French/English version with Eric. (Ducking for cover). But I really do like it solo, as well.

Now I'm going to have to go back and listen to the live recording I've got! I've YET to hear that song live with just Dennis because when he comes to Quebec, he'll do the bilingual version with a french guest. I guess I'll just have to go to a US concert ... :-)

The younger guitarist's name is Jimmy Leahy. I'll be a fan of Tommy Dziallo forever, but Jimmy's additional guitar really jacks up the concert sound another notch.

I agree with you big time. Tommy is a great guitar player, but adding Jimmy just elevates the sound to another whole level. I really would like to see a Dennis show in a theatre or house of blues type venue again so I can really be able to gauge the sound of the band better. Some of these festivals really dont have good sound systems set up.
