Nothing on the Amazon site says anything about this special promotion day--anyone know anything??
It's not a lie, if you believe it..........

Thank You Sterling! I already have the book, but bought one of them for a gift and one to replace the book that I lent out and probably wont get back.

You can find the book on Amazon, once you have the page for the book look up new/used section. Here is a link.

Thanks for posting that! If I had any sense at all I might have posted it myself. Some salesman I am, LOL. As the old saying goes, "I'll never make it if I have to live by my wits."

I hope everyone is well.

No problem, I am a Amazon wiz, I'm always buying things on the new/used pages, guess it explains why my mouth falls to the floor every month when the credit card bill comes in.

I had the good fortune to purchase a copy of TGD in person from Sterling last week and can't recommend it enough!! An essential read for all Styx fans, especially at such a great price. And Sterling is a great guy, very warm and engaging.

You live in Canada, is that right? Unfortunately, even though the US and Canada are contiguous, when you ship from the US to Canada it winds up on an international rate because it has to cross customs. I have tried and tried to find a way around this, but have had no luck whatsoever. I implored Canada Amazon to stock the book, and they did for a while, but the reality was it still had to be shipped to their warehouses, which meant a fee at the border, which meant a higher selling price, which meant fewer orders, which meant they did not want to re-stock. I apologize for the situation, but honestly don't know what to do about it. I agree, it's crazy that Canadians are paying as much for shipping as people living in Germany, Iceland or Japan. But I have no control over it.

I hope all is well.

I know that Sterling, its just a pain in the ass because Amazon for ages had a Canadian rate and an International rate for Movies, dvds, cds, etc.

But I guess thats how it goes.

Great job.

Thanks! I appreciate hearing that.

Hope everyone is having a Happy Labor Day. We're celebrating here because our inspection went well and we have a clear to close . . . I'll be living in a new house in an entirely different city this time next week.

I got my copies yesterday, thank you Sterling. I kept one of the autographed copies for myself. gave another to a friend that is currently interested in the band. My old copy I am saving for the next time someone wants to borrow(keep forever) a copy of the book.

i know how stressful moves can be, so for once I'll say to you I hope all is well for you!

Thanks! I'm glad you got the books okay. As far as moving goes, a long time ago I worked for a moving company, so I've done it a lot and don't find it too terribly stressful . . . but what I DO find stressful are the events leading up to it, like getting through inspection, appraisal, blah blah blah blah freaking blah. Makes you want to kill all living things, LOL. We are delayed a little bit, but ought to be out of here very soon. So thanks for your well wishes, I appreciate it!

Lovin' the book, Sterling. If Styx was more popular, I could really see this being turned into a screenplay.

Thanks very much. I initially conceived this as something that could turn into a screenplay option. I even spoke to VH1 about it, but the truth is they have moved on into mostly reality TV and stuff like that. A few years ago they had some halfway decent (as well as some not-too-halfway-decent) first-run movies, but not so much anymore. I may still turn this into a somewhat fictionalized screenplay and try to pitch it. You know, change the names and such, but retain the basic story. The elements of a great story are all there in Styx, that's for sure. It made my job easy. All I really had to do was gather it up and write it down.

I hope all is well.
