Crib Note

Postby LordofDaRing » Thu Aug 28, 2008 7:32 am

I was just curious if the new album 100 Years from Now is going to be released here in the U.S. and if so is it known when?

John

Dear John,
As soon as duet partner finishes his part Dennis will work on mixing the song and Viola the new CD will be released on Rounder Records.
P.S. Dennis wants to announce it on our homepage sooooo this is all I can reveal! Look for all the info within the next few weeks.

This is in Mrs. DeYoung's updated August Crib. Are we there yet??? Any guess to who the mysterious duet partner is??

I talked to Dennis before I saw Hunchback. No date yet. It hasn't been recorded and the duet is basically the thing holding things up from what I gathered. He's been spending nearly all of his time when not on the road doing Hunchback since March.

FANTASTIC. I *just* got "I Kissed a Girl" out of my head after 36 straight hours, now I'll have THAT in its place. Thanks.

I like Anne Murray. I do. I've even been told I sound a little like her, and I don't see that as a bad thing. But c'mon...

ACTually, I've had "Shadows in the Moonlight" running in my head for a couple weeks on & off because I've been order Swarovski crystals, and one of the colors of "Golden Shadow." Dunno why, but every time I see it, I start with the damn song.

It's okay..."Kissed a Girl" is still in there. Not sure when that gem's gonna leave. It's stuck pretty good.

Notachanceinhell. I didn't like the guy on the Canadian version AT ALL. What a ruined voice.

Knowing Dennis, it'll be someone like Taylor Hicks.

The inside story is that he’s waiting for John Lennon to show up and record his part. That’s why it's been delayed for 2 years and counting……….

We are back to Anne Murray again. Seriously then, Michelle Branch would not be a bad choice. That lady that sang on the counting crowes song big yellow taxi and Making my way downtown, has a nice voice, very good keyboard player too.

On a not so serious note, how bout the Cheetah Girls. God I am sick of that being on my television, I will take Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montanna any day over that. At least the show is kind of funny. "Songwritingdaddysaywhat"

LOL! I was actually kidding as she's from my home province. She's not exactly a rocker. :-) But in all honesty, she wouldn't take this long to do her part because she's known for getting it right on the first try.

Sorry about that ear worm, Zan. :-)

I heard from a reliable source that he will be teaming with Gordon Lightfoot.

And the track has been completed.

It's actually posted on Gordons website

Go to: www.sundown.com

P.S. What are Dennis's ties to Gordon Lightfoot???? I never even knew that they knew each other. How will this help sell his new CD in the US????

Odd, Odd choice

Why not just choose Palin????

Well, he tried to get Rhianna. But she would not let him get under her umbrella-ella-ella even though he was out in the Rain that was drowning to the core, soaking into every pore.

So he had to settle for a guy who sang about a sunken ship.

I wonder if this is the connection, from wikipedia

Lightfoot returned to the music business with his new album selling well and an appearance on Canadian Idol. In 2005, he made a low-key tour called the Better Late Than Never Tour

Also could this be a way to sell the album even more in Canada with the US version, Since Gordon Lightfoot is another Canadian legend?
