I HATE it, but it's the way it is, and until someone comes up with a way to keep people from stealing whole albums, it will continue to be. We have come full circle, with the emphasis once again on singles. That sucks for me, because I came up on bands that were album rock and committed to making entire albums that flowed like works of art. I miss that, but I know it's gone for now. Music is just disposable fast food right now.

How true this is! (See my comment in the Nickelback thread). If you listen to the pop radio stations long enough (and it is excruciating!), you will hear 10 rap/r&b songs/"singers" who sound exactly alike. You will hear 10 identical-sounding rocker types singing identical sounding rock songs.

It is the candy, apparently, that is desired now. In with the new out with the old, but it all sounds the same.

Well, at least we still have AC/DC releasing a rock album for us in the coming weeks...
