Not by a long shot.........Pubs have had their chance 6 of the last 8 years, people dont like the results....

- McCains economic polices do not stray far from the policies of the current administration....people are eager to see if a different strategies will yield better results...

- People are worried about losing their jobs and ending up without access to healthcare, and feel more comfortable with Obama's proposals......

People are not happy with the way the rest of the world thinks about us, and they want us out of Iraq sooner rather than later. Obama's ideas are more aligned with the way the majority view the situation.

- People feel more comfortable that Biden could lead the country if something happened to Obama, more so than a woman whos forgien policy experience is being in close proximity to Russia.

- A majority of people do not object if large corporations and the citizens who can most afford to pay a bit closer to their fair share by stripping away thier tax shelters.....especially when they know what they would pay is no more than what they paid when Ronald Reagsn was president.

Yes, Obama can articulate his ideas much better than most.....and that certainly advances his candidacy. Personally, I wouldnt care if he stuttered and looked like Quasimoto (or Dennis Kusinich ) I much prefer the direction he is looking to take us in vs that of his opponent..

You know that is a great point. Personal responsibility, unfortunately like the American Dream and responsible jouranlism are dying a slow horrible death in our country today. The majority of Americans who try to live a lawful decent existance are being asked to bail out what began as a decent liberal idea of providing equal opportunity to purchase a home, which morphed into a corrupt financial way for a handul of CEOs to pocket millions of dollars while bankrolling specific lawmakers campaigns to keep quiet about said corruption, and screwing over said Amreican Tax payers to the tune of $700 million dollars.
John McCain and Barrak Obama at the next debate need to look squarely into the camera and promise an independent investigation of this whole mess once either of them becomes President.

I agree it's not the president's job tt get the middle class back on its feet - but I trust Obama to provide an avenue for that to happen more than I do Mccain. Neither president will do it directly. Personal responsibility is not a good quality of many Americans - many of them should not have taken mortgages that were more than what they could handle. Same thing with the credit - we should not buy more on credit when we can't afford the monthly payments. On the other hand, credit companies should be kept from offering it in circumstances where it can't be handled - they just do it so the CEO's can get richer.

I don't feel that I'm partisan, I just haven't seen Mccain show me anything that makes me believe he'll really change from the way Bush is running things - he'll always be for the big CEO's & keeping our military where it isn't truly needed/wanted.

I'm in agreement that a large dose of personal responsibility is part of the solution to the countries woes....government cant do it all for anyone. This generation of Americans needs to learn to live within our means. many people feel entitled to having the very best of everything regardless of the long term implications to their personal finanancial situation. buying houses and cars they have no business having based on their income. Their parents( and their parents parents ) sacrificed much so they could have more, and that fact is lost on a generation consumed by materialism.

Things may get much worse before they get better....perhaps we will all learn some hard lessons over the months and years to come.

You left out a couple of CEO names my friend, Franklin Raines ($100M in bonuses) and Jamie Garelick ($75M in bonuses) the ones from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, you know the ones that just went under. Franklin Raines is now an advisor to the Obama Campaign which wants the govt. to take over more of the economy. Jamie Garelick served as an advisor on Obama's search for a VP. But the good news is that Mr Obama was not number one on the F & F campaign contributions...he was number 2, right behind Chris Todd. Shumer and Barney Frank are right behind at 3 and 4. Oh, I forgot, you barely could take back the Falklands from pitiful Argentina. The one thing we know in America is guns. We are proud of them and we know how to use them. I was in favor of it when it started, and will be again when they find those WMDs ....... and barely taking back the Falklands from Argentina ...... lets look at that shall we ..... Argentina is 30 minute air time from the Falkland Islands, the Argentinians had superior airpower about 11-1 I think it was, we had aircraft off 2 carriers, our troops sailed 8000 miles and reclaimed the Islands from a force that had us outnumbered 5-1 and were well dug in.Heavily outnumbered British troops took back a British Island so to say it was pitiful strikes me as being history challanged.

I have never had anything handed to me ........ as a 13 year old boy my mum died and I went out working weekends cleaning restaurant parking lots to help my father pay bills ..... so no I have never had anything handed to me ...... When I met my wife I moved to Florida and prior to me moving here I was earning in American money $23.50 per hour having started off on $8.50 per hour several years earlier, I was promoted to Administration officer by hard work so I do not expect anything for nothing ....... America is a great country just like England is but for me there are many things wrong with both countries ...... and I have never been able to grasp the corporate idea of making the rich richer at the expense of the poor .... do not get me wrong I have nothing against people or companies earning millions, good luck to them what I am against is governments giving them more when they should be helping American citizens stay in their homes or find affordable healthcare...... If a company makes $3 billion quarterly profits well done to that company but it does not mean government should hand over tax payers money so they can have more ..... tax road sweepers and grass cutters, teachers and waitresses have worked many hours to pay for. Why should people lose their homes because they are sick .....many people have to sell homes to pay medical bills which is just not fair ......... I am not asking government to tax big companies more just to help those in need instead of those who dont need it ....... I think a fair society where people dont have to be afraid of getting sick because they have no health insurance is not too much to ask for or a cancer victim cannot get health insurance just because they got the disease before they were covered ........

I was in favor of it when it started, and will be again when they find those WMDs ....... and barely taking back the Falklands from Argentina ...... lets look at that shall we ..... Argentina is 30 minute air time from the Falkland Islands, the Argentinians had superior airpower about 11-1 I think it was, we had aircraft off 2 carriers, our troops sailed 8000 miles and reclaimed the Islands from a force that had us outnumbered 5-1 and were well dug in.Heavily outnumbered British troops took back a British Island so to say it was pitiful strikes me as being history challanged.

Why did you mention Germany ?, I hope your not talking about WW2 as you sat on your arses and done nothing for 2 years whilst Germany conquered Europe, Blitzed Britain to rubble and murdered 3 million innocent Jews, you came into the war only after you were attacked by Japan...... if you had never been attacked you would all of carried on with your ho downs and done nothing. I notice you never included North Vietnam in your list ?

I remember storming Norman commander of the first Iraq war ( I agreed with that one too) saying that man for man there is not a better trained force than the British army, that coming from a 4 star American general should hold some sway .... I mean the British SAS trained American special forces ....Delta Force to be exact, I would bet any amount of money that if you sent 10 sas and any other 10 troops from any army in the world into an area the sas would be the only ones to come out alive........ I am glad your proud of your guns and for that I congratulate you ......... lets hope there are not many more Columbines.

1. It took your sorry asses 2 weeks to get down there. The whole world watched your Navy meander down to a third world country and fly Harriers against A4 skyhawks. Pathetic in every sense of the word.

2. We kicked Germany's ass twice. WWI and WWII although our participation in WWI was at best superficial. If it weren't for the good ole USA, you'd be goosestepping now.

3. Your British SAS troops are great. Hope you have enough of them. Take your gun control and socialist ideas back to Europe where they belong. You can stay.
