Dennis Live Performance

Postby Saint John » Sun Dec 21, 2008 6:43 am

Dennis was on the Jonathan Brandmeier show at 6:20 am the other day and sang Show Me The Way and Desert Moon, and it was spectacular. Just him a microphone. Completely blew me away. The man has lost nothing. It was as good of a performance as I've ever heard from him. Hopefully, the audio pops up on youtube. Or maybe they'll have an old podcast of it. It's certainly worth checking out and Styx needs to get him back in the band ASAP!

Dude...Styx is finished...give it up! You've got a better chance of Steve Perry getting back with Journey.

Someone has to find and post this performance. It was really good. Styx would see a nice spike at the gate if they got Dennis back.

lol...I saw them 2 years ago and Tommy couldn't sing the second half of the show. Sounded like shit. They need to get Dennis back and tour at a more modest level. The shows could really be quite good again.

lol...I think that's a compliment so I'll take it as one.  And to answer Abitaman...Tommy is singing way too much because they tour too much and Dennis would provide the brains to tour sensibly and the voice to make them sound like Styx again. LG does NOT sound like Dennis and/or Styx. The dude is a hack.

Styx without Dennis rocks. With him, it's crappy ballads. Not good ballads, crappy ones. Great singer, but a guy that isn't into rock n roll anymore, he's into Broadway. Tommy might've had a bad night. When I've seen him, he's been amazing vocally... haven't seen Dennis as he'd rather stay home.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Sorry Styx folks. I try to keep the kids upstairs, but you know how they are.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
