NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

It's not a bad version by any stretch; DDY did it justice. Hearing DDY's voice doing the main vocal through the whole thing is a bit odd since I associate this song with Tommy. This is one definitely done because of the popularity of that song in that part of the world, much like Babe was a request from the promoter in Japan when Styx played there after Gowan joined. That said, DDY did a much better job with Tommy's song than Gowan did with Babe ...

Tommy would get paid anyway for its use live, so it's not an odd pairing.

Off topic a bit- I'm pretty stoked though. I'm putting together an acoustic project, a duo. One of the songs that we're doing is Boat on the River with the mandolin and stuff. Should be fun! That friggin' F chord though. I thought it sucked on guitar, sucks worse on mandolin.

Okay, now back to your regularly scheduled program....

ha, yer on Froy! Just have to nail that last lick of the mandolin solo. Only been playing since Christmas.
