But Toph, it was okay for Dennis to record with a French artist to try and rejuvenate his career? Some could say that was a desperate attempt to get airplay too..
Yes, it worked in one region in Canada, but it pretty much guaranteed he wouldn't get airplay anywhere else up here. English radio up here wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole, and hasn't touched anything else from it either.
Face it, if Dennis wouldn't have recorded 100 Years From Now without Eric Lapointe, he wouldn't have the success he did in Quebec.

(or maybe JY in his infantile ways, has to have something out there to "compete" with 100 years from now...)

I much prefer that to say, "Waiting for Our Time" or even "Witness" for as far as Tommy efforts go. I like both those tunes, but "Just be" is much more powerful, for ME.

McCartney and Stevie Wonder recorded a song together so I guess they're pathetic too, oh wait so did Mick Jagger and Bowie,
and so did Greenday and U2. I guess they're all pathetic.

Some of the forum members here only post so that they can hear the clicking sound of their own keyboards. Please refer to the title of this thread, and everything will make more sense.

"Raise your hand if you love REO Speedwagon, or still listen to the mighty Styx.
Okay, now put your hand back down. People can see you.
To promote their upcoming joint tour, the two 80’s bands have teamed up to record a new single, “Can’t Stop Rockin’,” co-written by REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin and Styx’s Tommy Shaw. “Can’t Stop Rockin’” will make its radio debut this month, and will also be available for download.
The new song pays homage to “four boys from England.” Now who could that be?
Here’s a sample lyric:
The whole thing started 1963
Young girls screamin’
Black and white TV
I was so ready, for something to set me free
Those four boys from England, singin’ right to me
And:
When I was lost, they were there to hold my hand
When everyone said no, no, no, they said yeah, yeah, yeah
The “Can’t Stop Rockin’ Tour,” which also features 38 Special (”Caught Up in You,” “If I’d Been the One”), is being billed as a “Rock and Roll Stimulus Package,” with ticket prices as low as 13.50 in most markets. The tour launches May 20th in New Mexico. Dates can be found at Styxworld.com
Says Kevin Cronin, “The world is going through a weird phase, and everybody needs music now more than ever. We all need to join our friends, pool our resources, combine our energies, because there is power in people coming together. That spirit has brought REO and Styx together to write, record and tour together, and celebrate it all with the greatest fans in America.”
Amen, brother."
Doesn't sound as awful as it did before.
