Perry was contacted a few years ago to tour with Dennis & Peter Cetera, I think it was Cetera, anyhoo, Perry declined at that time to tour. But as the saying goes, Never Say Never......... 8)

I talked with David Pack about a month ago regarding Perry on his cd and he mentioned how great it was to record with Steve Perry, etc. etc. etc. a lot of positive talk and good stories :)

Dennis. He does the entire vocal.

Well shit! That was a lot about nothin!

Thanks for the info though!

From what I remember, Rounder Records recommended a singer to sing the duet with Dennis, I think the reason it didn't happen was conflicts in scheduling in the studio together. Don't quote me, but there was a duet partner for some time.

But this guy has really lost his touch. The songs, the band and the recording are all substandard. The only thing this album has going for it is that Denny has still got his pipes.

I realize the people most likely in this world to like this CD are about half of the people who post on this board.

Not true at all, I have played the cd for the casual Dennis / Styx fan and majority really enjoyed it. To each his own, if you don't like it then don't play it, plain & simple. Sheesh!

By the way, he didn't lose his touch at all, IMO. Sheesh!

I think that blows away Styx/REO/38 Special

David Pack was in town with Jim Peterik & World Stage. David sang 3 Ambrosia songs and his voice was just amazing, same as all other singers, unbelievable. It was one of the top concerts that I have ever seen/heard

Interesting, but here's a question: if they couldn't get together, why not email the track to wherever the other singer was, let him sing on it and email back? There's no need to fit schedules anymore with technology as it is. This is done all the time now.

Just wondering . . .

I hope all is well.

Didn't Dennis post on his website that the head of Rounder records kept encouraging him to do it solo?

Different better or different worse?

Trying to sort it out ... haven't done an A/B. I'll do it in the review :)

But I do like the new running order. It flows a bit better I think.

What is the status of the review? And also the DDY interview? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'm a bit busy, ya know!

But I finished the interview transcription tonight and sent it off for review (it's the equivalent of 50+ pages in Microsoft Word).

The review will be up early next week, interview sometime soon after that as I may need to get a few clarifications and such. Getting there ... Rome wasn't built in a day especially when you have a day job and are writing a book, too.
