And that's not even a slight exaggeration!
Bye Bye Rights!
I read somewhere Bush said that the constitution is just a "Goddamned peice of paper".
And before someone yells "Obama is different, he's gonna save us".
PLEASE! Give me a break. They all work for the same elite. And it AIN'T you and me!!
Anyway, sorry to get WAY off topic!!
I liken most Americans' world view to living in a mirrored box. All we can see is ourselves and our own perceived interests staring back at us, thereby numbing us to anything beyond the end of our own driveways. The news and journalism have turned into infotainment for the most part. Watch BBC News and you'll see a shocking difference between real news and the endless parade of insignificant crap we call news in America. Think back to when we were kids; would Walter Cronkite ever, in his fucking wildest dream, have appeared on TV and said, "In our top story tonight, some no-talent bimbo didn't wear panties to a club last night"? Of course not! It's not news. It doesn't affect any of us AT ALL. But in this day and age it gets dubbed "Pantygate" and we get to see it is the top story five nights in a row, with a half-hour special recap at ten. And you know what, we sit there and watch it like mindless zombies, so we deserve it. It really does seem to me that the dumbing of our culture has attained so much downhill momentum that maybe it can't be stopped. It's a culture of ever-more-shallow values, it really is.
And to put this back on topic . . . uh, Styx rules! LOL.
I hope all is well.
