I just watched the YouTube videos of the re-recordings. They made them as close to the original LP versions. If you didn't know them, you probably wouldn't know the difference. It's almost odd hearing them attempt to rein it in and play it exactly like it was 30 years ago. Tommy's voice is still good, but it's definitely an older Tommy singing. The only ruined moment is the yell in the beginning of "Renegade". That was pretty awful.

I definitely think you could tell it was a different recording.
