maybe for the Irish, The Eagles are just no Bryan Adams
Ireland shows no love for The Eagles
Legendary American rock band The Eagles has been forced to cancel their major June 28 concert in Galway due to poor ticket sales.
The outdoor event was set to take place at Pearse Stadium in Salthill. The venue has a capacity of 34,000, and acts such as Bob Dylan and Bryan Adams have played popular concerts there in recent years.
Perhaps the lack of interest was due to the steep ticket prices (which started at €86.25 for standing, €131.25 for seats), or maybe for the Irish, The Eagles are just no Bryan Adams.
Either way, Aiken Promotions made the official announcement on Monday that the show was cancelled “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
The two other upcoming Irish Eagles concerts are still on for Belfast on June 30, and Dublin on July 2.
Those who purchased Galway tickets, including the line of people who anxiously showed up in December to scoop them up, can choose to receive a full refund or exchange them for The Eagles Dublin show.

Even a band like the Eagles can't anally rape the fans with huge ticket prices.
