From now on, I'll just call myself a "Perry" - it encompasses all of the fans who recognize his talent and love his amazing voice and who want to hear him sing again, but differentiates us from the psycho-obsessed types who stalk his house, access his private information and nickname their soap! I don't want any part of that either.

It also encompasses realism and the fact that SP is not perfect - he's an imperfect human like the rest of us who just happens to have a superhuman gift!

Mr Big's reunion is second only to an original Journey reunion for me. Never got to see them live the first time around. Not too many bands that I can say that I wouldn't care what the setlist is...........cuz I like THAT many of their songs. Only two vocalists I've ever actually crossed the border to see perform are JSS and Eric Martin, and would do so if Perry ever performed live again too. Have never been disappointed with a show, on the contrary! Like you mentioned above, you can't take it with you and the shows/memories/friends are Priceless!

I’m checking in to introduce myself. My name is Jason & I’m from Detroit, Michigan so I guess I could truthfully say I’m just a city boy, born & raised in [ahem] NORTH Detroit. So close, so close. [Har dee har]. I’m a “tweener” which means I became a Journey fan at the height of ROR when Perry was leaving & the revolving door began. More on that at a different time.

I recognize a few of you on this site so I’d like to take a sec to say “Hello” to portland & Laydee. I hope to get to know the rest of you as time goes on.
