I think Cain may have been annoyed because the piano was ridiculously quiet all the way through the set, maybe he was pissed off because of that.. who knows.

Faithfully was spoilt because of it.

However overall the band sounded great and they went down fantastically. Loved it.

Quite proud when I see Journey doing well in Britain.

Think Cain was really pissed as whatever instrument he played you could hardly hear him. No Rhythm guitar sounds, and no piano hardly at all.

Great show. Yes, the piano was way down in the mix. Too bad. Cain isn't getting much love on here today. But I think he's a great part of the band.
I noticed Neal changed out guitars for WITS and then switched back afterwards. Anway, loved it. Arnel rocked. And Neal and Deen fantastic. 8)

Cain is great though.. brought us some beautiful music.

So what was going on with Wheel in the sky?? Definitly tuned down it seemed, probably why Neal changed guitars. I usually hate that song.. but wow, sounded a million times better the way they played it today.

Faithfully was good but not the best I've heard, but I still enjoyed it b/c I love Faithfully.. But I'm a Faithfully nut and have watched five billion tapes of Arnel doing it and he always usually nails it. It's the reason why I felt he was the right guy for the job.
Great to hear Change for the Better, b/c I love the whole ending part.

The piano wasn't mic'd up properly for the webcast. It's not necessarily how it sounded live. The piano could have been coming through perfectly live, but it just didn't come through the webcast. It's the webcast people's fault, not Journey's.

I've absolutely always loved Perry's version, but I've loved Arnel singing it just as much. Just different. I can enjoy both. 8)

I agree because the crowd responded to DSB and I couldn't hear anything but Ross' bass line.

Makes me feel a bit happy if the crowd could hear the Piano then.

Chances are the webcast simply pipes out the main mix. I doubt they would have seperate mics/outputs for a webcast.

Arnel is maturing nicely to his role. He is looking more and more a proper frontman now whereas he used to look like a wide eyed fan who just landed a dream gig before.

Couldn't help but laugh at the lack of piano with Faithfully and DSB. It was kinda neat hearing it like that though. Hated the new arrangements they're doing with just about every song. Just don't think this is the time to go screwing around with the classics, since they've got so much attention now with Revelation/Arnel.
