Styx One With Everything Blu-Ray

Postby StyxCollector » Mon Jun 15, 2009 2:56 am

Quick $.01 - finally a version I can listen to (as well as watch). Both the CD and DVD were OK at best. I complained about the mixes back when this came out. I picked up the Blu-Ray and listened to it in lossless last night and everything sounded right. The balance between Styx and the kids was right.

Although, I have to say - JY in HD is scary ;)

My friend and I always trade jokes about JY and his presence on stage, it must be something about his grin.

I may have to pick this up.

I first watched the concert in HD on HDNet. But the mix was horrible. I thought the DVD mix was much better. They also took the time to correct many of the shots on the DVD.

I hope the Blu-Ray isn't identical to the version I saw on HDNet.

I picked up the Blu-ray when it came out.
Looks and sounds stunning - really enjoy it.

Not interested....of course if they came out with RTP in Blue Ray, I'd get that in a heartbeat.

Shame... you're missing a great show.

Is it really worth missing just because it contains no powdered wig or a bunch
of sappy show tunes ???

:P

Yeah, buy that. Since it was shot in standard definition, it wouldn't look any different on Blu-ray.
