Well darn, you learn something new everyday. Had no idea your name was Suzanne. Interesting ....

isn't it ironic, doncha think? ;-)

Actually, I was jealous that Glenn Burtnick got to be the only one dropping letters from his name. He'll never catch up to me now! Bwahahahahaa

It's interesting how people come up with their usernames......

Any newbies want to tell???

Wow, Suite!! You found an old chestnut back there, didn't ya?

There was a bunch of us from this board in NYC and a few newbies that read the board. This thread was brought up as one of the "classic" threads that was posted. I had no trouble finding it when I searched for "Honeymooners". LOL

Stmonkeys was my aol screen name, which was a short form of "stomachmonkeys" which we use as our domain name/email addy. it came from a david letterman bit from the early 90s. they were rolling dice which had various words on it to show how some bands came up with their names. "stomach" and "monkeys" was the result. then dave started joking about having bad chinese food the night before, and having "stomach monkeys." we were amused, and decided to use it for ourselves. so i've been "stomachmonkeys" or "stmonkeys" or "stmonkeyss" ever since. and i'm sorry if this doesn't make any sense, but i'm on pain medication for my back right now. LOL fun thread!

I am glad you did. There are some I have been wondering about from people who came on here after this thread sort of went away. stmonkeys was one of them so thanks for that explanation. :)

I graduated Walton High School in Marietta, GA in 1988.

And on topic, I'm afraid my screen name is painfully unimaginative. At the risk of stating the obvious, I write about rock music, LOL. It was either that or "geekboy", but this one is less humiliating.

Hmmm . . . well, then you can call me Geekboy, Zan (if that's your real name), LOL. Seriously, I really AM a huge geek at heart. I am, after all, a person to whom the label "Styx biographer" can be applied. I hardly think that makes me the heir apparent to Jack Kerouac, LOL.

I hope all is well.

Navy name given to me since my last name is Hall. BTW Class of 82. Probably too old to still be on a message board of my favorite High School Band.

"It was the only name none of us hated!"
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Am I the only one who remembers how magazine articles about Styx invariably used to use that line about the name of the band?

I've been called Tani (rhymes with "Donny" not "Danny") since I was a little kid, and it's just short for Tanya. After running across "Tommyknockers" in a mythology class, my friend Marla started calling me Tanirocker.

When I got my first AOL account in the mid-90s, I tried a bunch of different names and they were all taken. Finally I tried Tanirocker and that one worked. I've been stuck with it ever since.

Not that it's the only name I've been called...
