New Paich/Lukather teamup “Show me the Love”

Postby The_Noble_Cause » Tue Aug 25, 2009 4:58 am

Sounds slightly similar to their Benson penned tune “Turn Your Love Around.”
This, of course, is not a bad thing.
And, given TOTO’s disbanding, I’ll take what I can get.
One area in which TOTO tops their AOR peers isn’t just in overall musicianship, it’s jazz/R&B like this.

I don't like the song. Quite boring and predictable, IMHO :(

You guys are brutal.
Like "Waiting for your Love", Toto is getting their funk on.
Song is solid imo.

Found it pretty underwhelming on a first listen (which is all I've given it so far). This may not be a bad thing, many of my favourite songs (Toto and otherwise) didn't do much for me on the first attempt either.

That said, any new Paich/Luke tune creates anticipation that is almost impossible to live up to, especialy in these post-Toto times we live in!

I think it sounds great, and let's hope that with them spending some time together... maybe it'll reignite that spark and make them want to do something together again! I NEED more Toto!!!

Poor David, he doesn't look too well these days. I hope he is going to be alright.

David doesn't look or act like he's on death's bed...he's just got the pounds- which he's always had. He seems fine actually.

What about Mike P.????

What's his "real" status?
