Have to argue that.
I have been to many of REO shows, and seen a few bad nights, both on lead vocal and background. Have some boots that they don't sound so great.

Yeah have to agree with eric on this one. I remember seeing them back in march @ potowatami. Dave looked like he was having a ton of technical difficulties.

Good god, all you have to do is hear the orginal Riding the Storm Out with whats his name on lead vocals and really learn to appreciate Kevin Cronin and Bruce Hall's singing. I heard it on XM the other day and almost drove off the road laughing. What became of that guy, don't tell me he is still earning a living singing somewher.

Check out their Soundstage special and tell me the harmonies aren't piped in. It was so bad, they weren't even near the mic half the time. The last time I saw them I wasn't sure. The harmonies sounded a little too good. Then I saw the Soundstage special and it was painfully obvious.

I haven't seen REO in person in 6 years, but they sing the harmonies on the XM Live DVD that came with Find Your Own Way Home acapella before "Roll With The Changes" to warm up. It takes them a few repeats to get the notes sitting just right and then it sounds golden. Do you mean to tell me they piped in the "warm-ups" that weren't quite on before piping in the "right" harmony? Doesn't seem likely to me. I think they hit the harmonies.

REO Speedwagon certainly performs ALL of their background vocals live. While I doubt it, they could have reinforced the DVD with some help, but in live concerts they are all LIVE.

I have spoken to Bruce, myself, and have had this point clarified.

A DVD is different. Studio help can make anything perect.

Saw Kevin get all excited when he hit the high note from "wish You Were There" then blow a note a song latter.
