Oh my goodness, it's so much better when the man is sitting and having his picture taken and not having it be a clandestine ocassion when people are taking pictures from behind plants or from beneath their coats or in their hats or hunting him down like a rabbit! Or a duck or whatever animal is in season!

Good picture and thanks Mister P for gracing our pages! You look nice!

No. He's upgraded to dark gray from black. Or is it black :?: And left out, after you wrote "he's growing his hair that means he's going to tour," or maybe he's just dating a hot young thing. A U2 fan. Good taste, SP.

I don't know! Let's get on twitter and figure this out. Or twigure this out! yes, let's twigure it out... I won't be able to sleep until I know where he bought that sweatshirt and what the name of the color is. It could be black or charcoal, but what if it's off-jet-semi-black?

By no means is this a speculative statement, but I am just wondering, from a psychological standpoint, what does Steve Perry think to himself as a guy who USED TO perform in front of crowds like U2's Rose Bowl gig...

I mean, he probably admires the musicianship and perhaps even likes the music, but it HAS to tug at the ego a bit, no? The adulation, the cheers, etc. At the core of a musician is the love of performance, and well, I don't know. He must feel a LITTLE if that pull, no? Maybe not, as he hasn't made any motions toward that in 15 years!

Either way, good to see a new photo! Now, get back into the studio and finish that CD! ;)

Well, I for one am not crazy about that picture. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate Cyndy posting it. But look at his eyes. I don't see any joy in them. It's a sad pic, IMO.

I wish him well.

I don't think it's that. He's sixty. There's sagginess around eyes at that age and so eyes look tireder. I would see photos of Liam Neesom after his wife died and his eyes looked sad, but then I realized all the photos b/f looked like that too b/c of his eyes looking so tired. But in person, in interviews back b/f she died on TV shows, you could tell he was a happy man; it just didn't show it in still photos.

I don't think it's that. He's sixty. There's sagginess around eyes at that age and so eyes aren't as big and bright. My thoughts exactly. He is a gentleman of a certain age, and if this photo was taken after the show, it may have been quite late in the evening. The late hour and the long-term effects of gravity may be taking their toll...

Btw, is it me, or does his head look disproportionately large in this photo??

His head looks huge, but it's just the angle. He looks really good for his age.

I went back and re-edited in my post that at that age your eyes can have a tired look.

I hope you guys are right. Maybe it's just a 'first impression' thing for me. Someone suggested to me that he might just be tired. Makes perfect sense. He can come rest his head on my shoulder if he'd like...

Thank you so much Cyndy for posting the sp Picture.

Sp doesn't like his picture taken, and for him to sit still and allow wireimage to photograph him is truly a blessing for his fans. He has a nice smile on his face, and it makes his eyes smile too. I don't see any sadness, to the contrary.. he looks like he is having a good time and happy.
Despite his age, he is one fantastic looking man with many admirers. I just spent 11 days in L.A. and it looks like I should
have spent 12 days and not missed the U2 concert. :( I have seen pics of the stage setting and it is unbelievable and
VERY expensive. They aren't making any money, but sure putting on a good show.

The man has a great neck and that isn't easy to do at ages 50+... Love his boots, too. He looks really, really good here; rested and relaxed to me... Deeelicious :) .

Funny...As I was watching the U2 show, the stadium and that crowd reminded me of that breathtaking image of Journey's crowd in the Frontiers and Beyond documentary (the famous aerial shot). I think it's impossible for Steve to not recall those days and how he felt when he's in the middle of something like that.

p.s. Thanks for posting the pic, Cyndy. Very cool.

I didn't like their concert at the Obama event, and thought Bono didn't sing well there.
I was very impressed with the 25th concert from what I saw on youtube.
I have also said I didn't like Arnel either, but after the Oprah show I like him much better.
