Sweet.. great thing about Fogerty is that no two show's setlists are the same.. not many artists can do that nowadays!

Fogerty wouldn't even visit his brother on his deathbed because his brother didn't agree with him on his dispute with his record company. (straight out of John's mouth)

They guy was a control freak "my way or the highway" hmmm....sounds familiar.

Ouch.. Okay, I can see why you think he's an ass.. yikes..

BUT Fogerty did sue on behalf of his brother when Fantasy records wanted to stop their royalties to Tom's family after his death..

But then again maybe that was just another stab at Fantasy and not really representing his brother's family's best interest..

I saw John with Willie Nelson back in '06, and I have to say, the guy might be an ass, but he kicked ass for two hours. He never stopped moving around the stage or got winded. He doesn't have the same grit to his vocals he had 40 years ago(Jesus!), but he still sounds good for the songs. Maybe a little more of a country take.

That is pretty harsh about his brother.. I also wish he would play just give in and play with his old bandmates again(Doug Clifford is especially underrated), but I guess he has his reasons. I think, where some people would see the light and make amends, his brother's death probably just reaffirmed the fact that he'll never play with those guys again.

Actually I thought the story was that John did visit his dying brother and it was his brother who brought up the situation about the manager, something of the effect of being critical of John's song Vance can't dance (but he will steal your money). I thought in an interview, Fogerty said his brother's dying words to him were, "hey Vance was my friend".

You know, come to think of it, if I remember the "Behind The Music" correctly(or was it "Legends"?), I think Tom's last words to John might have been that Vance was his best friend.. I can't remember for sure if this was on Tom's deathbed, or just the last thing he had ever said to John in general. "CCR" had an interesting story with a lot of drama; almost as interesting as Styx' "BTM".
