Anyway someone above said the SEC OWNS the Pac-10... say what? I don't have the 2009 updates but as for the previous years:

2000 UCLA 35, Alabama 24 (at Los Angeles)
2001 UCLA 20, Alabama 17 (at Tuscaloosa)
2002 USC 24, Auburn 17 (at Los Angeles)
2002 Oregon 36, Miss. St. 13 (at Eugene)
2003 Oregon 42, Miss. St. 34 (at Starkville)
2003 USC 23, Auburn 0 (at Auburn)
2003 LSU 59, Arizona 13 (at Tuscon)
2004 LSU 22, Oregon State 21 (at Baton Rouge)
2005 LSU 31, Arizona State 31 (at Tempe)
2005 USC 70, Arkansas 17 (at Los Angeles)
2006 USC 50, Arkansas 14 (at Fayetteville)
2006 Auburn 40, Wash. St. 14 (at Auburn)
2006 LSU 45, Arizona 3 (at Baton Rouge)
2006 Tennessee 35, Cal 18 (at Knoxville)
2007 Cal 45, Tennessee 31 (at Berkley)
2008 UCLA 27, Tennessee 24 (at Los Angeles)

In Bowl games? Well they haven't even met this decade!!!!

"The Pac-10 and SEC have not met in a single bowl game in the 21st century. During the regular season, the Pac 10 has a 10-5 record against the SEC.

In the last 30 years (since 1977), the Pac-10 and SEC have only met in bowl games seven times. The overall record is 3-3-1, the one tie occurring in the 1985 Sun Bowl between Arizona and Georgia. The other games were:

1978 Bluebonnet Bowl - Stanford 25 Georgia 22

1985 Aloha Bowl - Alabama 24 USC 3

1986 Citrus Bowl - Auburn 16 USC 7

1986 Sun Bowl - Alabama 28 Washington 6

1987 Aloha Bowl - UCLA 20 Florida 16

1989 Freedom Bowl - Washington 34 Florida 7

The 1989 Freedom Bowl between Washington and Florida was the last time the two conferences met."

Check your facts.

Nobody "owns" the Pac-10... You just have more sportswriters and talking heads on the East Coast so you only vote YOUR teams as champions.

Great game. Almost all the important games this week have been great, starting with the Oregon/ Oregon State game.
The exception might have being the SEC championship game which just fizzled out in the second half as Alabama started to dominate.

Yes the Tide was coming in hard!!!

Aww, he's only 22. Give him a break! Maybe he was taking his cue from the always tearful Brett Favre after each of his retirement announcements...

I'm glad that Florida lost. Fucking Tebow crying on the sideline with a teammates hand on his head - give me a break. He might be a good guy and everything, but his constant media grandstanding and preaching makes me sick. Glad that fucker lost.

By the way, you have to be really awesome to wear eyeblack indoors. What, the dome stadium lights making a glare off the artificial turf? You look like an idiot.

And what's with the bible verse under his eyes?

John 16:33 (New International Version):

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Tebow is getting plastered on most sports blogs. These two generally echo the overall sentiment:

"And let the narcissist get his head handed to him and show he is nothing but a tender 'wittle' crybaby." Goodbye Tebow. And thank God for that. You are the biggest spoiled sport crybaby ever to put on pads. You have a Heisman, you have a national championship. And yet when you lose today, when you finally played a good team, you "ball" like a baby. Some "tough guy", role model, and Christian you are. What a narcissistic phony. God does not care if you win or lose. But some of us common folk do, and we are so unf*&%kingbelievably happy that you, and all your LOSER FANS, got your ass kicked. Nice job Bama. Thank you God.

Here's the thing. People are not critizing the fact that Tebow is a Christian. Or the fact that he is a good Christian, etc. The problem that I and apparently many others have with Tebow is that he wears it around like a hat. He wears eye black with Bible quotes on them. Bible quotes. Are you kidding me? Religion is a personal thing, and shouldn't be proclaimed by a college quarterback who acts like he is better than you and holier than you. First of all, who's he to judge? Second of all, didn't God say that we are all equal? Another thing is that Tebow, after every big win, thanks the Lord for the win. In interviews. Not in private. In media interviews. My question is that, in the Bible doesn't it say to pray in private? That those who proclaim their faith and pray on street corners are getting rewarded on Earth, and those who pray in private will receive their reward in Heaven? Enough with all this religious stuff. God doesn't care who wins a football game anyways. There are much more important things than football games. Tebow makes a mockery of religion. I do NOT hate Tim Tebow. I do, however, hate the way that he conducts himself. And don't give me that crap that he s a good sport. That is a load of bull. After the game, an Alabama assistant coach was talking to him, trying to be a good sport and encourage him. Tebow walked away. Does that sound like a good role model to you? Tebow walked right to the locker room. Tebow may be a great guy in all, see I can't say one way or another because I don't know him. I can say, however, that Tebow is not what everyone thinks he is. Tebow is not a good sport (see above). Tebow thinks he is better than you (see above). Tebow wears his religion like clothes (see above). That doesn't sound like the Tebow the media hyped him up to be. That's all I'm saying, and nothing else.

Yeah, as much of a great Christian humanitarian guy as he seems, crying on the sideline should be an embarrassment to the entire state of Florida.

I said weeks ago that I thought Alabama was better, and they proved it.
They'll probably beat Texas too.

(And yes, I'm still pi$$ed about McFadden not winning the Heisman.)

I'm not gonna get on the guy for crying because it's an involuntary reaction. And it shows me he cares. There's a lot of hard work that went into his 4 years and that game was his last regular season game. What I will get on him for was not putting his helmet on and trying to hide his disappointment. It almost seemed as if he wanted to be seen crying. And he was a real douchebag after the game. You have to be consistent and had he won I'm sure he would have stuck around and shook hands and consoled the 'Bama players. But he lost and he was brief, non-responsive to the Alabama coaching staff and tried his hardest in the post-game interviews to attribute the game's final score to what Florida didn't do, rather than what Alabama did (which was roll there ass).

Now for his pro career. If this guy has anyone sane directing him they'll turn him into a fullback. He stands a chance of being a heck of a weapon around the goal line because of his ability to get short yardage and pass the ball a few yards. Any passes longer than 10 yards the guy is atrocious. Trying to make him an NFL quarterback would be like trying to make Richard Simmons straight.

I think he's a great human being, too. But everyone can be a "good sport" when you're winning. Last night was his chance to be that he could be a good sport on the other end of the stick and he failed. And he needs to quit with the religious bullshit under his eyes too. Nobody wants to see that shit during a football game.

It's the passion of youth... college kids are always passionate about what they believe because they are still young enough to be idealists. Whatever that belief may be... protesting wars, religious faith, et

It doesn't mean they are infallible and more than that I am sure that some of those tears are because he felt he let everyone down. People have hailed him as a messiah, they expect him to deliver a win every single time and I am sure the pressure was tremendous and the letdown was even bigger. But yea I think it was a big disappointment that he did not give due acknowledgment to bama.

In any case, right now my hero is Jake Locker. You want to talk about a player who has a chance to do something in the NFL? This kid has played 3 years on one of the worst assemblies of talent in division 1, 2 of those under one of the worst coaches (Ty Willingham) that I have ever seen. For three years the defensive linemen have almost been beating the football to him on the snap and smashing him black and blue. For much of the time he has had no receivers, no running back, and the most horrendous defense you can imagine. Every chance to win a game has been solely his responsibility and he has carried the entire UW football program on his back for 3 years and never complained, never whined, never cried... he has been the victim of some of the worst officiating calls I have ever seen, including last year when the called a penalty on him for "excessive celebration" when they finally had a big play in a dismal season. And yet every time he has been gracious to his opponents and even appreciative of being a Husky.

Like you said... it's easy to be a good guy when you are winning, but when you are losing that's when you see character.

That torching of Cal yesterday was a sweet sweet moment. ;)

There is when you're crying like a little bitch over a football game. Listen, if the game was remotely close, and they lost on a last second play, I could at least try to wrap my head around the heartbreak. The reality is that this game wasn't close, AT ANY POINT! Florida lost the game before they stepped onto the field. I also agree with Dan that he needs to find a new platform for his bible thumping because it's fucking obnoxius. If he wants to curl up with his bible late at night and read his scripture, that is certainly his right, but he needs to keep it off the gridiron.

Tebow is only human....and a very impressive human at that! What is does off the field is far more impressive than anything he has ever done on the field (and that's saying a lot, he's a good player). He brings who he is to the field and that's admirable. You don't like the scriptorial eyeblack? Don't look at it. You don't want to see him cry? Well, too bad. He takes the game personally and I would highly suspect that if you could get into his head you would realize that he was not crying because they lost a game (that would be whimpy) but more because he did not feel that he delivered like he should-it's the end of an era for him-give him the respect he deserves to reflect on it and respond appropriately.

Someone mentioned the fact that he "thanks God" and that God does not care who wins the game. I agree, God does not care who wins the game-and not once have I heard Tebow thank God for the win. I have heard him give thanks to God but he has never specifically said "I want to thank God that we won"-I would suspect the thanks he is giving to God is for the blessings in his life-athletic talent and ability being one of them-he is probably thanking God for giving him that talent, for the good health he enjoys, opportunites he has had in his life .......the list could go on and on....

Yeah, they lost a football game-a pretty important one, and rightfully so, Tebow and the whole team are disappointed, but the pain will ease in time and they'll all be just fine...(now, I'm not so sure about our own beloved Gator, that remains to be seen). So I say in the mean time, drop the Tebow bashing....he's a great person and a great example for young people everywhere....and he's also human so if he didn't take the time to congratulate the Alabama players-well, yeah, that was wrong but he makes mistakes. I also don't think that he was showing poor sportsmanship by not congratulating Alabama, in fact, I find it in much poorer taste that the Alabama players were mocking Florida with the "Gator Chomp" at the end of the game-at least Tebow just walked away before acting if he was feeling animosity toward the other team (and who knows, maybe that animosity had more to do with the mocking than the scoreboard).

OK, now let's all move on.....I'll go check on ScarabGator(again)....

I miss those over-the-top rants that only you can get away with. I miss your bathroom antic stories & the colorful array of metaphors you use to describe the act of shitting. I miss your poetic way with words when you spew about "vagcastle" & “meatditch.” We just don’t hear enough from you. Your post are always interesting, or entertaining, or just so downright rude, insulting or vulgar that it leaves me shaking my head wondering, "How does he get away with this???"---but that's what makes you so appealing. You’re like Svengali!--- It's also what makes you the Godfather Of Melodicrock. Now, let me bow & kiss your ring.

for everything i've heard about tim's character, his lack of congratulating the winning team does not look so good. a good sportsman congratulates the winning team. poor decision on his part. he's not the first man i've seen cry over losing a game, pretty silly i think.

Good stats, but if ANY of those teams had to play a full SEC schedule, they'd barley make it to .500 every season! It's the week in/ week out battering you take in the SEC that kills you. CLEARLY the best conference year in and year out.

Eh, I wouldn't congratulate them either, they were sitting there doing the gator chomp and all that. Even if not, there's no rule or even custom that says he needs to do that. I don't like Tebow and I HATE the media love affair with him, but I won't fault him for that.

Swaddling the crybaby? What does that even mean?

Give Gator some time, he'll be back.
